Members Present: T. Gilbertson, L. Desiderato, T. Goodwin, E. Hagensen, S. Rickers, J. White
Note: Faculty FWM training will be checked into by Dean’s office.
Deadlines: October 1 is the goal to advertise all positions.
October 15 is the retirement request deadline.
Dr. Gilbertson has received MAP feedback from HPSH, Social Work, and Psychology. He asked that the other departments please get your feedback to him.
Assessment Goals reminder. Please be aware of what you have due for your departments. Randy Westhoff will answer any questions you may have.
Social Work Position has been approved and will be advertised next week. SPED position (Lillestol) has been approved. Will be input into NeoGov and advertised next week.
Beth Hagensen handed out website list for CAST. CAST should be a 12-18 credit certificate, a minor is the alternative. She said that any department who would like to lead this is welcomed to do so. Beth requested the chairs e-mail her course descriptions and titles, and she will get them to Pam Stowe. Beth will contact Gunderson to get learning objectives. Jim looked on line and said there are around 60 objectives. Pam Stowe will be invited to the October 5 Leadership Team meeting. It was suggested to get the Nursing Department involved. It was suggested that if there is training on this, two-three people should attend. Too late to get this done by Fall of 2017, so target is Fall of 2018. For now, you should e-mail Beth any information you have, but she may be passing this on to Yongsok Kim.
+/- Grading was discussed. Departments are all varied in what they do.
PDP/PDR’s should be e-mailed to Dr. Gilbertson, with a cc to Tammy Mayer. If you want to also send a hard copy with documents, that is great. But e-mail the actual PDP/PDR.
Transfer Pathways will be put on the Oct. 5 Leadership Team agenda.
Dr. Gilbertson asked the chairs to see if their departments would like to have an all-college meeting the week of Thanksgiving break. Please let him know what your department thinks.
