1)Mass to Celebrate Scouting; 2) High Adventure Fundraiser; 3) Flower Sale Kick Off;4) No Troop Meeting February 14th; 5) Annual Cherokee Awards Dinner; 6) Northern Tier Planning Meeting;

1)This coming Sunday at the 11:00 Mass on the St. JPII Hikes Lane Campus we will have the yearly Mass to celebrate scouting. Please attend this Mass if possible and wear class A Uniforms.

2) Before, during and after the Scout Sunday Mass, Boy ScoutTroop 243 will hold a pancake breakfast, featuringALL-YOU-CAN-EAT, made fromscratch buttermilk pancakes, real maple syrup, with bananas, eggs and a serving of bacon orsausage, this Sunday, 9 am - 1 pm, in St. John Paul II Gallagher Hall. The cost is $5 in advance, $6 at the door. The group going to Northern Tier this summer is running the event, but would like any Troop 243 scout to help to serve our customers during the event. Most scouts will take a break to attend the Scout Sunday Mass, at 11 AM, at St. JP 2, Hikes Ln. All scouts, cub scouts, girl scouts, AHG scouts, brownies, etc., attending the Scout Sunday mass, in uniform, will be welcome to eat at our pancake breakfast at no charge (family members regular price). We are also looking for sponsors. For $50, a sponsor's name will appear on the placemat, and the sponsor will receive 4 tickets to the breakfast. 3) This Wednesday is the flower sale kickoff meeting.Come ready to listen and learn how to raise money! This year, we will be taking orders online. We will go over the details this Wednesday night, but if you are ready, here is the link: sure to forward this link to your family, friends and co-workers.

4) Note: There will be no troop meeting on February 14th because of Ash Wednesday.

5) February 17th, Cherokee District will host a dinner to recognize our 2017 Eagle Scouts and adult leader award winners. The cost is $15 if registered paid by 2/1/18 and $20 after that and the charge for 2017 Eagle Scouts is $10. The troop will pay the $15 cost of any registered adult leader, the $10 for any Eagle Scout and order the ticket for you if you RSVP by January 30th. We ask you to RSVP for yourself and any guest. We also ask that you reimburse the troop for the cost of the guest. After January 30th, if an adult leader orders tickets, we will still reimburse the adult leader for the early bird cost of $15 after the leader attends the dinner. We will also still reimburse the Eagle Scout/parent for the $10 cost of the 2017 Eagle Scout attending the dinner. 6) This Wednesday at 6:00 we are having a Northern Tier planning meeting at 6:00 in the Annex. All members of the 2018 Norther Tier Crew should attend.
