2015 Combine Demolition Derby

PERSONAL SAFETY AND DERBY RULES
Entries received prior to Wed., July 15, 2015 will be awarded show up money of $400. After that date $300 entry showup money will be issued. So get your entry forms in early!
- Only driver and 4 individuals in pit crew will receive free admission.
- Drivers and crew must sign insurance waiver.
- Driver must be 18 years or older (must show proof of age).
- Drivers must wear seat belts and helmets.
- No direct hits to the driver’s area of the combine.
- No hits when combine is out of bounds.
- Driver must make contact with another machine within 3 minutes or be disqualified.
- No ganging up on a combine or group of combines; judges will disqualify upon their discretion.
- Driver must stop machine upon lifting another machine off its wheels to prevent roll over.
- Driver and crew must wear long pants and long sleeve shirts – no shorts, tank tops or muscle shirts.
- Must have minimum 5 lb. fire extinguisher secured in the cab area & accessible to the driver.
- It is the responsibility of the drives to adhere to safety standards to protect themselves as well as others.
- No radio/phone communication with driver during the derby.
- The remaining two combines in each heat will do battle for a limited amount of time, than the crowd will decide 1st place and 2nd place. They will both qualify for the final heat.
- All decisions of the officials are final
- All motion will be halted in case of fire or emergency.
- Flag must be broken off when signaled by officials.
- Machine must have number on at least 2 sides of machine no less than 16” tall.
- Checks will be mailed to participants when the machine is removed from property/storage area.
- Please have your combine removed from the fairgrounds by Aug. 23rd, 2015.
- All combines to be inspected by derby officials between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
- Drivers meeting will be held at 4:00 pm at track.
- ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL
Combine Regulations
- Any size 2wd combine allowed.
- Must use Grain Table and no Corn Heads allowed.
- Table must be fixed 18” above ground and hydraulic hoses disconnected. Head must remain on the machine or will be disqualified.
- Must have grain table reinforced from feeder housing to the back of grain table with maximum of 2 pieces of 3 ½” X 3/8” angle iron.
- Must have auger, combine ladder, fins on straw chopper and reel arms removed.
- Separator must be inoperable (must remove belts).
- Fuel tank must be mounted in grain tank. Maximum size of 6 gallons.
- Combine must have cab with glass removed and door welded or chained shut. If you do not have a cab, make a cab from 2” pipe and cover with steel cattle paneling or similar covering material to protect driver.
- No headlights or tail lights on unit.
- Cab must have safety bars welded at least 36” from floor of cab on the front sides.
- No added shields to protect transmission belts, wheels or tires.
- Stock tires to be used with air only in tires; no fluids & no duals.
- No additional weight to be added to machine.
- No offensive language or pictures permitted on combine.
PAY – OUT
Entries received prior to July 15, 2015 will be $400, after that date only $300.
Heat Purse : 1st place per heat $200.00
2nd place per heat $100.00
All 1st and 2nd place winners in each heat will advance to the feature heat.
Feature Heat Purse: 1st Place $300.00 and trophy
2nd place in feature heat $200.00
3rd place in feature heat $100.00
BEST OF SHOW: selected by the audience - $100 and trophy
