Summer went by too quickly.

On June 27th,English-Friends of Africa had over 30 people come to a picnic in a park. Christina Klassen, an AIM alumnus, presented her trip to Africa of 2 years ago. It was a great presentation and we all had lots of fun. We hope to have more picnics in the future!
On July 30th,Dr. John Brown, represented the AIMCanada home office at a supper meeting of AIM Quebec’s French Regional Committee, held in a Montreal home. He offered to come twice a year to Montreal to represent AIMin churches and at the French Friends of Africa (FOF) fellowship. Dr. John also talked about his new Ministry to Africans in Canada (MAC) and his new assignment under AIM with the African diaspora here in Canada. Rev. Murray Schmidt, Diana Schmidt and Rachael Lawrence (of the Personnel Department of AIM in Scarborough, ON), will also visit the provinceevery year to link with churches and FOA members and to share the vision of AIM and current opportunities of serving God in Africa.
August 24th-28th, Rosemary and Dita (AIM Quebec Mobilizers) attended the Annual AIM Canadian Mobilizers Forum held in Caledon, Ontario. The forum was spiritually refreshing and our personnel were able to update us on AIM vision and proceedings. Rosemary was warmly recognized for her 39 years service as a missionary and almost 29 years asQuebec Provincial Mobilizer for AIM.She was able to meet with Dita, new QC Mobilizer, and offer her a lot of wise counsel. Rosemary, for her part is delighted with Dita’s fresh approach to the ministry. They enjoy being a team!

Looking forward.

We look forward to having fellowship with you and praying with you for Africa this year. The FrenchFriends of Africa Fellowship began on September 19th at l’Église Baptiste de Rosemont, and the English FOFon September 26 at Snowdon Baptist Church. At both meetings Fabienne Beauséjour reported on her mission among the Sakalava people of Madagascar, while Gill told us of her up-coming mission to India and possible future mission to Africa. Please note the upcoming dates in the side section and if possible, inform your friends and churches. We’ll hope to see several of you on October 17th at Rosemont and 31st at Snowdon! At both meetings, Rosemary will share about the countries where she has served – Chad, Reunion Island, Comoro Islands, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaïre).
