Mathijs Meijer, Business Development Manager, RR Donnelley, explains: “We want to create a seamless connected experience that delivers the right message, in the right way, on the right channel, at the right time – every time.”
Xeikon has been part of that journey for more than a decade. The most recent investment is the addition of two Xeikon 9800s - the first to be installed in the Netherlands.
Patrick Dusée, Managing Director, RR Donnelley: “They will help us to reinforce the production foundations the company has been built on.”
Despite the long relationshipRR Donnelley and Xeikon share, the manufacturer was not an automatic choice. “We did look at other suppliers todetermine the best fit,” says Dusée. “But Xeikon stood out for a number of reasons. A key one was the new technology combined with the state of the art customized colour services taking colour management to a next level. Secondary to this, Xeikon offered best in class quality against market competitive pricing.”
Duséeconcludes: “The new installation will have an ROI that meets the company requirements. We have entered new markets like advertising and publishing and we are confident that others will follow.”
Ingrid van Werven, Q&EHS Specialist, RR Donnelley about environmental advantages: “The toner technology, used for the Xeikon machinery, has a big environmental advantage compared to other digital printing technologies. The products are recyclable and can be fully integrated in the chain and thus a circular economy arises.”
