SUBJECT: MO HEN Regional Showcase Meetings

The Missouri HEN is hosting six half-day Regional Showcase and Sharing Sessions throughout the state in February. During these regional meetings, participating hospitals will have an opportunity to showcase their work and, more important, share ideas and strategies as they learn from their peers within their own region of the state.

To broaden the learning and sharing from these sessions, we welcome all team members, front line staff members and senior leaders to the meetings. An outline of the agenda, as well as registration and locations for the meetings, follows.

Showcasing and Sharing – The majority of the day will be small group sharing sessions among participants to discuss each HEN clinical topic, as well as focus areas of leadership and patient and family engagement. During these sessions, participants will be asked to share successes and challenges. Part of the discussion also will focus on identifying the next steps that organizations and the Missouri HEN should consider to achieve the next level of safety and quality improvement. All participants need to bring their progress reports to enhance the sharing session.

Progress Reports and Participation

Each hospital is asked to submit one to three progress reports on any of their HEN topics by Friday, Feb. 1, to . In addition, each hospital should bring any or all progress reports for the “showcasing” portion of the regional meetings.

Submitted progress reports from each region will be compiled into a booklet and distributed at each session. One progress report from each hospital also may be incorporated into a booklet for distribution to all hospital CEOs in the region. Please work on developing a progress report for your hospital and submit to by Friday, Feb. 1. HEN improvement advisors are happy to assist you in developing or perfecting your progress report. Registration and Reimbursement

The Missouri HEN will reimburse each hospital one round trip mileage to attend one Regional Showcase and Sharing Session. An additional one round trip mileage will be reimbursed for each senior leader (CEO, chief nursing officer, chief operating officer, chief financial officer) attending the meeting.
