FIAT EXTENDS WARRANTY AND REDUCES SERVICE COSTS

ON THE DUCATO

Fiat has extended the warranty on its hot-selling Fiat Ducato range to three years/180,000 kms, including the 24 hour roadside assistance programme, and cut servicing costs by extending the oil and filer change period to 30,000 kms, a 30 per cent increase in distance between services.

“Both of these changes are significant advantages for Fiat Ducato owners,” says Newton Head, of Ateco Automotive, the Australian importers of Fiat vehicles. “The extended service intervals not only cuts costs, it also means that the Ducato will be off the road being serviced less often and that means it stays on the road making money for its owner. Ducato owners are now also better protected for longer with the new warranty.”

The Fiat Ducato, one of the best selling commercial vehicles in the world, was launched last year in Australia in Ducato Maxi Van form, offering a 1.8 tonne payload and a 12 cubic metre interior powered by an advanced 2.8 litre direct injection common rail turbo diesel engine with 300 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful and economic vehicles in its class. With a recommended retail price for the Maxi Van of $42,000 and a high level of standard equipment including AirCon, Central Locking, Electric Windows and Mirrors, CD player cloth upholstery, the Ducato has already gained a wide range of owners in Australiafrom industry and distribution applications to the motor home industry.
