Student Accountability Center
Purpose: To provide a resource where students receive consequences for infractions against the established school policies. The center allows for students to receive interventions and/or progressive discipline measures.
1st Offense / Student reports to ISSSAC. A parent notification is made by ISS SAC Personnel.
2nd Offense / A parent notification is made by ISSSAC Personnel. The infraction is logged in Google DocGoogle Docs for Staff review. Detention may be assigned
3rd Offense / Students will remain in ISSSAC all day. Parent will be notified by ISS SAC Personnel. Infraction will be logged in Google Docs for Staff review. Saturday Detention may be assigned.
4th Offense / Repeat offenders (4 times or more) will receive an out-of-school suspension. The SAC staff will complete the paperwork for the appropriate administrator to sign. The administrator will contact the parent regarding the suspension and log it into SchoolMax.
ISSSAC Protocols
ISSSAC Personnel will:
·  maintain a sign in/out log of all students reporting to the ISSSAC.
·  enter the information of all students issued detention and/or retained for one class period into Google Docs.
·  call the parents of students sent to the ISS SAC and/or issued detention.
·  notify administration of non-detention reporting students that did not report to detention to be suspended.
·  maintain an efficiently organized center with files, records and student assignments properly labeled in an effort for additional staff to provide support.
·  return completed assignments to teachers via their mailbox. (Assignments may be emailed to ISSSAC )
·  issue pre-set assignments(submitted bi-weekly by all Department TC/DCs) to students in ISSSAC.
·  ensure all students remain in the ISSSAC during lunch (3rd (2nd period) and receive a bBag lLunch.
·  provide coverage in the absence of ISSSAC Coordinator. A substitute teacherSecurity Assistant (SA) will serve as primary back-up personnel in ISSSAC.
·  coordinate with Professional School Counselors (PSC) and Pupil Personnel Worker (PPW) to provide interventions when needed and/or required.
·  notify administration to issue an out of school suspension for studentany disruptions in the ISSSAC.

UUniform Guidelines and Policy
It is the responsibility of all students to adhere to the Friendly HSOHHS dDress cCode at all times and to show respect for the spirit and intent of the dDress cCode. While on campus the dDress cCode will be enforced.
Student Identification Badge / Friendly HSOxon Hill High identification badge must be worn suspended from a break away chain around the neck facing forward on the students’ chest.
Shirts: / Shirts must be solid red or solid royal blue long or short sleeve shirts with a collar. Light blue oxford shirts with collars may be worn. Tightly fitted stretch shirts and t-shirts are not permitted. a plain 3 to 5 button black polo style, long or short sleeves are permitted. All shirts must have collars. Tightly fitted or stretch shirts are not permitted. The undershirt should not be visible at the sleeves. No denim shirts or jackets are allowed. No light blue polo style shirts. Navy blue shirts of any style are not allowed. The undershirt should not be visible at the sleeves.
Slacks: / Slacks must be plain color khaki pants. They must be worn on or above the hips (no low rise, low cut, or sagging). No other styles are permitted. Slacks may not have a drawstring, elastic at the hem, or cut/holes in pants. All pants/shorts must have length that extends below a student’s extended fingertips.No Shorts.
Belts: / A plain (without adornment) solid-colored black orbrown belt must be worn with any garment having belt loops. The belt buckle must be plain and will not exceed the width of the belt.
Skirts: / Khaki skirts may must be worn. All skirts must have length that extends below a student’s extended fingertips. at or near the knee or longer.S Skirts may not have a drawstring or be spandex/shape fitting material. Jumpers are acceptable as long as the length extends below a student’s extended fingertips is appropriate. No skorts.
Shoes: / Shoes must be plain, solid-colored black or white in styles that have a closed toe and heel. Solid-colored, plain black or white athletic shoes may be worn. No flip flops, slippers, or crocs allowed. Heels should be no higher than 2 ½ inches. Solid colored brown or black BOOTS may be worn.
Jackets: / JACKETS AND COATS SHOULD NOT BE WORN during the school day. Jackets/coats may be worn to and from school only, NOT during the school day. Jackets/coats must be stored in lockers. Jackets/coats may not be carried or tied around the waist or neck.
Sweaters/Vests: / ONLY Plain, solid red or royal blueblack sweaters and vests may be worn as pullovers or cardigans. NO DESIGNS, MULTICOLORS OR LOGOS
Blazers: / Solid Royal blue or Solid RedBlack blazers may be worn.
Socks/Stockings/Hose: / Socks/stockings/hose – Must not be ripped or torn. must be solid colors of white, khaki, or black. Stockings (hose or tights) may be worn in white, black or natural. No patterned or textured styles.
Other / Teams/Organizations and Club uniforms (royal blue or red only) and/or shirts with khaki pants may only be worn on specified school approved days.
Hats and/or head coverings (scarves) may not be worn in the building, except for approved religious* or health** reason only.
UNIFORM VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES
First Offense: / ·  Student is referred to the discipline center.
·  Student name is recorded in “Uniform Dress Code Violation Log”.
·  The following options are provided:(1) the proper uniform item is brought to the student or (2) parent/guardian takes student home to change into proper uniform.
If a parent/guardian is unable to comply with the above options, the student will be:
·  placed in the Student Accountability Center/ISSC for the remainder of the school day.
Second Offense: / Same initial response(s) as 1st Offense.
If a parent/guardian is unable to comply with the above options, the student will be:
·  placed in the Student Accountability Center/ISSC for the remainder of the school day.
·  assigned AM or Saturday detention.
Third Offense: / Student is referred to ISSthe accountability center. Administrator is notified to follow up with parent for administrative consequence(s).
Fourth Offense: / This offense and any subsequent will be deemed persistent disobedience and the administrator will determine the disciplinary action taken to include but not limited the following: -Short/Long-Term Suspension

ID VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES

1st Offense / Student will be allowed to receive a new ID cCard by paying $5 or issuance of a debt obligation notice.
Student ‘s name will be logged in vViolation lLog. Parent will be notified of offense.
2nd Offense / Student will be allowed to receive a new ID cCard by paying $5. Student’s name will be logged in vViolation lLog. Parent will be notified of offense.
3rd Offense / Student is referred to ISSthe discipline center. Administrator is notified to follow up with parent for administrative consequence(s).

THE ADMINISTRATION HAS DISCRETION IN MAKING JUDGMENTS RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATENESS OF DRESS, TO INCLUDE JEWELRY. THE APPEARANCE OF OUR STUDENT BODY REFLECTS UPON THE CLIMATE OF OUR SCHOOL. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO STANDARDS OF DRESS AND GROOMING THAT ARE ACCEPTABLE IN A POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

After 7:45 9:30 am, students will go to appropriate location and receive a time stamped yellow pass with appropriate SchoolMax Attendance Code.

Students must have coded time stamped yellow pass to enter 1st period after 9:30am. Students must sign in the teacher tardy log noting time and reason for tardiness. (5 mMin passing time from time on pass)
Students late to periods 2nd, 3rd, and 4th must sign in teacher log with date, and reason.

Hallsweep Protocols and Policies
Purpose: To provide a consistent deterrent for students loitering in the halls and cutting class. The primary goal is to create a safe and orderly environment by ensuring all students in class by the ringing of the late bell.
·  Sweeps will be unannounced and conducted randomly periods 2-4.
·  Students will be swept to a zone designated room for processing.
·  Students will receive hHallsweep vViolation sSlips, dDetention sSlips and/or sSuspension notices.
·  A Google dDocs database will be maintained to identify student violators.
·  Teachers will NOT ISSUE PASSES during the 1st & last 105 minutes of each class.
·  No passes will be issued after 2:153:30 pm everyday.

Purpose: To establish a true whole school reform all teachers are asked to choose a team. Teams can be changed quarterly to provide a broader perspective and input from all staff.

Focus: Dealing with all attendance issues, publications, notifications, data collection, data analysis, parent meetings & student conferences
Hallsweep Team / Members: Principal, APs, Zone Leaders, SAs, ICs, and Teachers
Focus: Zone specific sweeps, assist with paperwork; enforce 2:254:20pm whole school student departure, establish an after-school supervision coverage plan.
Uniform & ID Team / Members: Principal, APs, Media Specialist, ICs, SAs and Teachers
Focus: Assist with phone calls, maintain/update database, monitor/acquire uniform supply, assist in classrooms checks.
ISSSAC Team / Members: ISSSAC coordinator, Principal, SAs, APs, PSCs, and Teachers
Focus: Assist with phone calls, maintain/update database, monitor/acquire student behavior in center, monitor/assist student with assignments as needed.

Focus: provide coverage during detention centers, identify detention materials, monitor student behavior during detention sessions and notify staff of student attendance to detention sessions.
