Position Summary: This position is part of the HOW EVENTive! functions and events team and will be expected to provide a consistently high level of food and beverage service to all event customers and function clients as required.

Ideally, the appointee will be organised, efficient, and a good communicator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance with the OH&S Act and HOW EVENTive!’s OH&S policies, e.g. Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Responsibility for on-job training, e.g.Barista (coffee making)
  • Knowledge of wines and service of wine
  • Cash handling

Position Title: Event Marketing Assistant

Responsible to: Event Marketing Manager

Position Summary: This position is part of the HOW EVENTive! marketing team and will be responsible for assisting in the marketing and promotion of special events.

Ideally, the appointee will be a very organised, and efficient, and a good communicator. Proficiency with the latest technology is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing and promotional strategies
  • Liaise with media, undertake interviews with radio and television
  • Write media releases for major and local newspapers
  • Design brochures and other advertising material
  • Promote events to businesses, schools, TAFE, sporting clubs and any other relevant organisation.
  • Interact with, and assist the public during events
  • Attend public functions as a representative of HOW EVENTive!
  • May involve interstate travel to promote events

Position Title: Events / Functions Coordinator

Responsible To: Event Manager

Position Summary: This position is part of the HOW EVENTive! management team and will be responsible for developing and coordinating events.

Ideally, the appointee will have a background in event management and be an exceptional communicator with an ability to motivate others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with all the stakeholders involved with special events
  • Work in conjunction with marketing department to promote special events
  • Finalise formal agreements with all the stakeholders
  • Assist the CEO in developing appropriate financial arrangements, agreements and contracts affecting the business
  • Develop appropriate financial management systems to track project financial status
  • Develop Gantt Charts to ensure appropriate timelines for all aspects of event organisation
  • Responsibility for administration relevant to special events
  • Explore appropriate special event opportunities in conjunction with marketing department

Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator

Responsible to: Event Manager

Position Summary: This position is part of the HOW EVENTive! management team and will be responsible for the development of a detailed volunteer recruitment and training program, providing volunteer support for all events.

Ideally, the appointee will be an exceptional communicator with an ability to motivate others. Proficiency with the latest technology is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a volunteer recruitment and training program / policy
  • Implement a volunteer recruitment program
  • In conjunction with appropriate Managers, document staffing requirements for various events
  • Coordinate volunteers to meet the needs of the various events
  • Match volunteers with appropriate job roles
  • Maintain volunteer scheduling and time sheets
  • Administer volunteer reward program
  • Assist in volunteer training
  • Seek sponsors for the Volunteer Program

Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

Responsible to: Event Manager

Position Summary: This position is part of the HOW EVENTive! management team and will be responsible for the logistics coordination for all events.

Ideally, the appointee will be a very organised, efficient and experienced planner, and an excellent communicator with an ability to motivate others. Proficiency with the latest technology is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Event Manager to ensure staff, contractors, volunteers, artists and technicians are inducted in compliance with OH&S
  • Liaise with management team to ensure that all event management systems are as effective as possible
  • Ensure systems are in place for managing rosters, checking timesheets, and initiating payment to casual HOW EVENTive! staff
  • Work closely with key contractors to ensure all HOW EVENTive! equipment is available, maintained in good working order, and ready for the contractors to use
  • Maintain an inventory of all equipment/stock and re-order items when required
  • Oversee security arrangements, including parking management, crowd control, and crisis management
  • Ensure event bump-outs, packing, and removal is properly planned and implemented
