Rain Dates: If we experience thunderstorms during any session, events may be moved to the following session, with Monday, July 17, available as a makeup date.

Coaches’ Meetings: A mandatory coaches’ meeting will be held at the start of warmups for each session. Scratches are generally permitted only in the event of illness, accident, or injury. The meet referee must approve other scratches. If a swimmer is entered to replace a scratched swimmer, the new swimmer will take the scratched swimmer's seeding. Events will not be re-seeded in the event of scratches.

Directions for Turning in Information

What is Due? All coaches' entry grid sheets, digital entry data, event fees, scholarship forms, and advertisement information are due no later than 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5. All teams are required to provide the correct information in the proper format or the CCAA Board reserves the right to withhold their admittance into the CCAA Championship Meet.

CCAA Championship Meet Procedures

1. A swimmer may enter only two individual strokes, plus the individual medley, and two relays. The three-event rule for teams that are short-handed in an age group does not apply in the CCAA Championship Meet.

2. A team may enter up to two swimmers per individual event.

3. A swimmer is eligible for the CCAA Championship Meet only if he or she has competed in two scheduled dual meets during the regular season.

4. A team may enter only one relay team per event. All names for relay events (both primary swimmers and possible alternates) must be listed on the back of the coaches' entry sheets.

5. Exhibition swims will not be available.

6. Entries must be submitted as computerized data, in the format to be specified by the CCAA. In addition, an official entry grid sheet must be submitted for each age group, showing each swimmer's first and last name, age (as of June 1), and seed time listed under the appropriate event number. Seed times MUST be based on a 25 yard pool. The seeding committee reserves the right to require verification of any submitted time.

7. Changes in individual events will only be permitted if made during the scratch meeting held prior to each day's events. Substitutions are permitted only in the event of accident, illness, or injury. Changes in the makeup of relays are permitted for any reason, provided that the swimmers being added to the relay are listed among the alternates on the back of the coaches' entry sheets.

8. Entry costs: Individual events $1.75 per swimmer per event

Relays $5.25 per relay team

9. The order of events will be:

July 14: Events 1 - 14 (there is no Event 2)

July 15: Events 15 - 38

July 16: Events 39 - 64

10. Awards to be given:

·  Regular season: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each league (If ties exist, there may not be 3rd place)

·  Team sportsmanship awards

·  Championship Meet ribbons: 1st through 10th place in each event (available at the end of the meet)

·  Championship Meet team trophies: 1st through 4th place teams

·  Championship Meet team awards: highest team totals for girls and for boys

·  Team Age Group awards: highest scoring team in each age group

·  Louise Stuhr Award: Winner of 8 and under girls’ backstroke

·  Pete Combes Award: Winner of 9-10 boys’ butterfly

·  Brittany Dejeet Award: Winner of 11-12 girls’ freestyle

·  Chene Moore Award: Winner of 11-12 boys’ breaststroke

·  T-shirt design contest winner

·  Scholarships for graduating seniors

11. Each team will be responsible for cleaning up its area after each of the three sessions.

12. Seating: Chairs will only be permitted for coaches, with a maximum of four per team (two chairs on the front row and two chairs directly behind those two). All other seating will be on bleachers.

13. Standing Area An area will be marked off where observers may stand to watch individual events. This will be for people who do not wish to sit and watch the entire meet, but have come to watch a particular swimmer. There will be no chairs allowed in this area.

14. Parking: There will be no parking permitted on the street in the Hamlets in Crowfield. Parking on the street will result in ticketing and possible towing of your vehicle. Parking will be available at Stratford High School. Shuttle buses will be available to carry spectators back and forth between the pool and the parking area. Parents may drop swimmers off at the pool before heading to the parking area. Very limited parking will be available at the pool, and this parking will only be available for meet officials and other designees.
