Apprentice Gender Equality Questionnaire
Gender bias, (sometimes also called gender inequality) is where someone, or something, favours one gender more than another, or where people are treated differently because of their gender.
A good example would be having a male changing room at work and not having a female changing room. Gender bias can also happen in other ways, such as in advertising, or in language, or in the way in which we behave towards one another.
We want to make sure that all Apprenticeships are free from gender bias and so we are asking you to complete this short questionnaire, as honestly as you can.
All responses will be anonymous and will help us to understand what we need to do in order to make sure that everyone feels valued, respected and also feels that they have the same opportunity to succeed.
If most people in your learning group and workplace are the same gender as you, you might need to think about things from another gender perspective to help you to decide whether there is any bias.
Thank you for taking the time to help us out – we really appreciate it!

Is there anything that you think your employer or Training Provider (College) could do to encourage there to be a better balance of genders on your Apprenticeship programme?
