The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.

The Internship is a full time position, for a 12 month period, based at JD Homes (NE) Ltd in Cramlington.

The Organisation:

JD Homes is a successful building and construction company based in Cramlington, Northumberland.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with JD Homes as a Graduate Site Agent. The Role would involve being responsible for the completion of a building or structural project. The successful candidate will be working with a team of tradesmen to make sure a project is completed effectively, safely and on time. They will oversee the day to day running of the site. Before any work starts, the successful candidate may need to supervise and organise the building of temporary offices and facilities for the site. When work begins on site they will be responsible for the safety of the team and will also monitor the progress of the project to ensure deadlines are met, any problems or delays will be reported back to the project manager. The successful candidate will also help to ensure the site’s health and safety.
