Minutes for February 4, 2013 Chaska Booster Club

Present: Larry D, Brian K, Teresa H, Amy L, Patty F, Margaret O, Irja G, Troy S, Michelle E, Holly L.

*Call to order 6:45pm by Larry D. Motion to adopt January, 2013 Minutes: Irja second by Teresa

1.  Financial: Holly

·  Booster Club Financials --- about $39,000 still available.

·  Fundraising Team Account update ---- have not seen a January update. Tax season for Cindy F.

·  Parent /Coach meeting payout – need to figure out who was there and who was not. That payout is NOT in the financials.

·  Larry/Teresa will send Troy the list of which teams was at the meeting and Troy will send out a note to coaches thanking them for coming and that their $100 will be process soon.

·  Nice conversation on where does all the money that goes to Community Education when facilities are rented from the district.

2.  Button Machine guidelines and fees

·  Holly made a whole bunch of buttons today!

·  CHS bought the machine.

·  Costs $.11 each button to purchase (raw material)

·  Takes some work to make a button – especially when putting a picture on a button.

·  We have about 2500 of each size in inventory.

·  Sell them for $.50 for groups associated with Chaska High School. Motion by Larry and Second by Teresa.

3.  High School Scoreboards status

·  Presentation of Daktronics Sports Marketing LED Scoreboard

·  Troy presented a scoreboard sponsorship opportunity. Larry will send an email vote this week.

4.  Student of the Month Update – Leslie

·  Troy sent out for March!

·  February - Amanda Stelton/Mitch Kirchoff

5.  Webpage- Irja

·  Post open positions for 2013-2014 school year board positions

o  Vice President

o  Secretary

6.  Concessions for 2012-2013 School Year – Cheryl- on-going

·  Troy updated that the commons can be used for concessions during wrestling on Thur. Feb. 7

·  Idea: Slush Machine per Holly L.

·  No other updates.

·  Feb. 26 – GBB First round (Chaska If high seed)

·  March 2 – GBB Second round (Chaska if high seed) (TBD afternoon game)

·  March 2 – GBB Section 2AAAA 6 and 8 PM games. (Neutral Site)

·  March 5 – BBB First round (Chaska if high seed)

·  March 8 – Section Finals (2AAAA 7 PM game) Neutral Site

·  March 9 – BBB Section 2AAAA Neutral Site Games 1 pm and 3 pm.

·  March 15 – BBB Section Finals 2AAAA neutral site game – 7 PM.

7.  Store Update-Julie

·  Donations requested for Chaska Elementary and Ridge Run, Julie to determine

·  Profits: Saturday, Feb 2nd = $600.00

8.  Mulch Project: Spring 2013 / before spring break
