We are hoping to update the waiting room and would welcome your comments as to how this area could be improved. Please give details below:

§  Nothing wrong with the waiting room it’s fine! Maybe a lick of paint – nice colours and some music periodically, like there was when I came back to live in South Brent in 2002 (1st morning I came there was Pink Floyd – lovely!) . The toys are still the toys which all children love but could be updated and with less/no plastic!

§  Layout good for chatting and for children ‘playing’ but seating quality could be improved. Apart from splits in cushions, it is good.

§  Water machine (drinking)

§  Have a ‘virtual’ fishtank

§  Just keep it as happy as it is at the moment!

§  It seems fine to me, thank you.

§  New seating

§  Less agonising seats. Some distracting screen?

§  Make seating more informal

§  We like it as it is, can be a bit hot in the summer

§  Not so hot!! Please don’t have loads of seats all facing each other!!

§  Please can we have some higher chairs?

§  I am delighted the screen has gone. I believe the notices should only be in reception and not in the waiting area. I enjoy the map of South Brent and my children loved the playhouse when they were young. The shrubs need pruning properly outside the window!

§  It is very hot in the waiting room, and can be unbearable at times.

§  Maybe some plants? Other than that (and the colour of the seats – maybe blue?) I like the layout and brightness.

§  THANKS

§  A water machine would be nice.

§  We are so lucky to have this surgery!

§  More colourful

§  Some nice photos/art of the countryside and sea, could even have mini-exhibitions. Bigger plant! Change seat layout? One easy display area for leaflets and themes.

§  Slightly lower seats would help those with shorter legs, with perhaps a fewer higher ones with arms for those with mobility problems.

§  Waiting area is fine in general – just a thought – how wheelchair friendly is it? ?need wider doors or bigger turning areas and may be less a seat or two so there is room to park?

§  Some paintings to brighten the area

§  A TV would be great or radio. New seating also as there are holes on the seats which pull on your clothes.

§  A cold water drink machine?

§  Re-upholster seating. Use air conditioning during hot weather

§  The seating arrangement is good – wouldn’t like to see rows of seats. Re-decoration and re-upholstery would probably do the job!

§  New chairs. Decorate.

§  More comfort maybe

§  Leave it to the experts!

§  Books and toys for kids are always useful for keeping them quiet but otherwise great – thanks

§  I hope the mural can be kept or repainted. I have no particular concerns with the existing format.

§  I love the ginger cat!

§  Ban sick people!

§  Bright pictures (flowers/country scenes)

§  New cloth seats would be nice. Water drink dispenser would be good!

§  Seems to work efficiently – could be a bit more cheerful, something colourful rather than magnolia! Maybe a bit more artwork.

§  Can be a bit too hot, otherwise great. Fabulous Health Centre – we are lucky to have you!

§  Excellent that you are helping us to update.

§  TV – more colour instead of white. Update

§  Excellent service x 2

§  More wheelchair accessibility would be good

§  We found the room nice and comfortable . Maybe more children’s toys, books, bigger space.

§  Can’t think of anything, thank you.

§  Radio/music in background

§  The waiting room is fine

§  I think it works well – lots of seating, lots of magazines and always warm!

§  Shaded windows so that it does not get too hot

§  More artwork

§  Very happy with the Health Centre as a whole

§  It works well as it is!

§  Waiting room seems fine

§  Improved comfortable seating would be appreciated

§  New seating and flooring

§  Perhaps on your list of doctors you could have some directions to their rooms – presuming you have an automated calling service.

§  I hardly every use it but a comfy seat and variety of magazines is all I need.

§  Noticeboards for posters look neater. Bright warming colours. Like the TV calling the next appointment.

§  The seating needs some thought as its sometimes difficult to traverse over people’s legs etc.

§  Not sure how seating could be improved, but toys that don’t/can’t make a lot of noise would be a boom for older patients who are not feeling well!

§  Perhaps a bit of low music while we are waiting or a television screen

§  Already excellent

§  More toys/books for children

§  A separate area for children

§  More children’s toys etc.

§  Water in waiting room would be appreciated – thank you

§  New seating – currently looks a bit dated

§  I am happy with the surgery

§  Magazines/books for older children

§  Not really, it is always clean, warm and peaceful – just what you need when not feeling well, although perhaps the lighting maybe a little too bright – but that could be me!

§  More ventilation please!
