Admission Documents (Visiting/Exchange Students)
1. High school transcript and/or diploma

4. Admission fee of US $53 (Must be paid by Cashier’s Check, issued by a bank, made payable to “Bangkok University.”)

7. A copy of TOEFL score with a minimum score of 500 (paper-based) or 61 (internet-based); or IELTS score with a score of no less than 5.0 in all bands; or a letter from current university confirming ability to continue studies in English (waived for native speakers of English)

For any certificates or transcripts not written in English or Thai, please also submit an English translation certified by the educational institution.

The admission fee of US $53 must be paid only by Cashier's Check, which is a check drawn by a bank against its own account. The Cashier's Check must be payable exactly to "Bangkok University" with no variation permitted in the name. Checks drawn on personal accounts cannot be accepted. 10. Accommodation Information (and instructions if any)

Accommodation is also available in private apartments near the city campus.Apartmentswithin walking distance from the campus are offered in various prices and styles. A typical studio apartment with basic furniture provided will cost from 6,000 to 12,000 Thai Baht per month, plus additional charges for utilities such as electricity, water, telephone, and internet access. A deposit/advance payment equivalent to 2 or 3 months rent is usually required. It is best to personally inspect apartments before making a commitment, so we recommend booking short-term accommodation for a few days upon arrival. Please contact us for a list of accommodation located around the campus.
11. Airport Pick-up Service Instructions (If any)
BU International provides an airport pick up service for exchange students. Thestudents need to inform us their arrival information (flight number andtime of arrival) no less than two weeks before their arrival.
At Bangkok Suvarnabpumi International Airport, students will get through the immigration lines, they will get to the luggage claim area. After picking up their luggage, they will pass through the Thai Customs. Once they are at the arrival hall, walk to their right until reaching Gate 3. BU International staff will be waiting for them with the "Bangkok University International College" sign. We also need to know their chosen accommodation.

13. Estimated Living Expenses (in USD or EUR)
Estimated costs for living expenses (food, transportation, entertainment) are about 10,000 to 20,000 Baht per month (US $300-600). This amount does not include accommodation and varies greatly according to individual students’ lifestyles and spending patterns.
Transportation to and from campus is available using the Skytrain, with the nearest station 800 meters from campus. Fares range from 20-40 Baht per trip with discounts available for monthly passes. Bangkok also has a subway system, with similar fares. Several bus lines also serve the campus area, with fares from 8-16 baht per trip. Meter taxi fares start at 40 Baht and increase according to distance. Most trips within the city cost 100-200 Baht.
Uniforms are required to be worn on campus and can be purchased at the bookstore for approximately 800 Baht per set. Immigration fees will be 1,800 Baht for a visa extension and 1,000 Baht for a re-entry permit (required when leaving the country).
All students are required to have health insurance during their period of study at Bangkok University. They should present an insurance certificate verifying coverage during the registration process. Students without health insurance may purchase a policy through the university. The current cost is 5,500 Baht per year.
