What: All Pinellas County School art teachers may submit 10 works from 10 different students to be on display from July 2016-May 2017 at the Pinellas County Schools Administration Building. All artwork submitted will be displayed.

Time Line : April 22, 2016 2D Artwork and Image Upload due

May 13, 2016 3D Artwork and Image Upload due

May 1-31, 2016 Hanging Volunteers change artwork

May 20, 2016 Artwork from 15-16 exhibit returned

Fall 2016 Exhibit Reception

Specifications: 10 total works per Art Teacher, one entry per student

(image upload required)

2/D Artwork-Must be properly mounted and/or matted on poster board

·  Do not use construction paper or foam board for mounting

·  Finish size of 16x20, 18x24 or 22x28 only

·  Work must have at least a 1 ½” bottom border to accommodate labeling and barcoding.

·  No more than 2 student works per board

·  Attach entry form to the back of 2/D work and note orientation

3/D Artwork-no larger than 12 inches in any direction

·  Pieces with a high relief or highly textured should be no larger than 12” x 12”

·  Write student name on work with permanent marker and attach entry form directly to 3/D work.

Entry Forms: Complete one Entry Form for each work in art database at Visual Arts Exhibition Calendar

·  Required Submit one digital image of EACH student artwork using Student Artwork Uploader in the database.

·  Before uploading images export from iPhoto (or similar program if using a PC) as a JPEG file, maximum quality, and large size.

·  Label Images: LastName_FirstName_TitleofArtwork_Grade Level (e.g., Smith_John_SurrealDream_7)

Permission: Artwork without permission slips WILL BE DISPLAYED in the Administration Building only. Artwork with permission forms will also be featured in the Visual Arts Gallery on the PCSB Website, district publications and other locations.

Delivery of Work:

2/D artwork due Friday, April 22: send through the pony in red portfolio. 2015-2016 artwork will be returned in the portfolios before the end of the school year.

3/D artwork due Friday, May 13: must be boxed, labeled on the outside and delivered to the Visual Art Office. Do Not Send in Pony.

Considerations:

·  Artwork will be on display July 2016-May 2017. Artwork will be returned to submitting school before the end of the 2016-2017 school year.

·  If you send works from 5th , 8th or 12th grade students, you will be responsible for sending invitations, certificates, and also for returning the artwork to the students at their new school.

Congratulations! Your child’s artwork has been selected to be on display at the Pinellas County Schools Administration Building for the 2016-2017 school year. This annual exhibition features K-12 student artwork displayed throughout the Administration Building from July 2016-May 2017. Your child and family will be invited to view the artwork at the Annual Exhibit Reception to be held in the Fall of 2016. Please sign the below student artwork permission form and return to your child’s art teacher.

Student Art Work Permission Form

The student and parent/guardian give their permission to the School Board for uses and displays of the student’s art work described belowto include, without limitation, display and exhibition on the Internet, on television, in publications,at art shows, in buildings and at otherevents accessed by the public. Permission is also given to the School Board to reproduce the artwork for use in School Board publications including, without limitation, brochures, pamphlets, and flyers. The School Board shall not be liable for any third party reproduction or redistribution of artwork so used, displayed, or reproduced by the School Board pursuant to this permission.
