Job Description – Activity Network Coordinator

Reporting To: / Information and Communication Officer
Hours: / 14 per week to be agreed with line manager
Salary / £18,500 PA (Actual salary, pro rata: £7,382)
12 month fixed term contract

Aims of the Post:

The Disability Activity Network Coordinator will coordinate our new Trafford Disability Activity Network (TDAN). This includes developing and launching a membership scheme for disabled residents. Identifying suitable accessible venues and activities and supporting the involvement of disabled residents.

1. Tasks:

  1. To take lead responsibility and coordinate Trafford Disability Activity Network, liaising with the Project Manager to launch the project, establish areas of need, and recruit members.
  1. To set up a network of external partners (for example: sports facilities, health workers, GPs, volunteer groups) to develop and establish a range of accessible activities for disabled people.
  1. To communicate and engage effectively with disabled people, to ensure that TDAN becomes an inclusive project that reflects the values of Trafford CIL.
  1. To work with the Project Manager to create marketing materials for TDAN, including flyers, posters, a web page, press releases and e-bulletins.
  1. To develop an excellent understanding of accessibility, inclusion and The Equalities Act in order to deliver an excellent service to members.
  1. To identify gaps in local provisions and offer support to local organisations to help promote inclusion and accessibility.
  1. To take full responsibility for setting up and running the TDAN membership scheme, including managing data, administration, keeping accurate and up-to-date records using our CRM system.
  1. To attend key local networking events to promote TDAN.
  1. To produce information in a range of appropriate accessible formats, including presentations, press releases and reports.
  1. To work with the Project Manager to develop a detailed quarterly Contract Monitoring report, including at least two member case studies and full quantitative data detailing project progress.
  1. To promote the take up of access assessments at designated activity venues
  1. Any other duties as allocated through the line management structure that are appropriate to grade.
