Job Title:Marketing Officer
Reporting to:Marketing and Communications Manager
Hours and Pay:15 hrs per week, £15-£18,000 FTE
Purpose of the Role:
The Marketing Officer is an essential role within the marketing team whose purpose is to ensure that More Music’s Audience Development and Marketing Plans are implemented as set out in the business plan.
The Marketing Officer will help to develop More Music’s profile as well as inputting into proactive approaches to marketing and audience development. The role will develop targeted tactical campaigns for individual events whilst contributing to the daily running of the marketing department.
Main tasks:
- Run and support marketing campaigns for events and seasonal festivals.
- Use content management system to update website with copy and images as well as video and music.
- To help maintain the department’s digital output, includingsocial media campaigns and Mailchimp and use Google Analytics for reporting purposes.
- Copywriting including press releases, listings and enewsletters.
- Respond to press enquiries.
- To support the creation, production and distribution of print including individual event flyers, posters and seasonal brochures.
- To assist with the administration of audience surveysand feedback.
- To use and update More Music’s bespoke database.
- To carry out other reasonable duties in agreement with the Marketing and Communications Manager.
Main outcomes:
- Raised awareness of More Music.
- Increased participation and attendance at More Music’s events.
General Responsibilities:

Essential:
- Experience (through work or study) of research, marketing and promotions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A good working knowledge of IT.
- A working knowledge of social media.
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines yet within a team environment.
- Copywriting skills.
- Attention to detail, strong sense of pride in work.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
Desirable:
- Design/DTP Experience.
- Knowledge of arts sector.
- Experience of content management systems.
- Creative input into the marketing team.
