Health & Social Care Qualifications at Level 2
Our work-based learning programmes are designed to give workers the skills required in their chosen industry, while working towards nationally recognised qualifications. Specific skills and knowledge are required when working with people in health and social care settings, and the CACHE Health & Social Care qualifications provide an excellent route to the relevant knowledge and skills.
There are many job roles in which these skills can be used, including Care Assistants in supported living or residential settings, Healthcare support workers in community and primary care environments, Healthcare Assistants in acute health settings, and Care Support Workers in domiciliary settings.
The Qualification and Curriculum Framework (QCF)
The new and improved work-based qualifications are more flexible and accessible to a much wider audience than ever before. Allowing you or your staff to tailor your own training package, this is an opportunity for you to achieve recognition for what you already do well, as well as to improve skills quickly and easily while you work. Reed in Partnership offers Units, Awards, Certificates and Diplomas in Health & Social Care.
Units from the QCF: You can undertake units which focus on skills and knowledge directly relevant to your job. For each unit learners need to demonstrate that they are competent to fulfil this role in the real world; both on different occasions and in different situations. Competence is assessed by an Assessor from Reed in Partnership, in line with the requirements of our Awarding Body – CACHE who also complete external verification of the work. Units are worth a number of credits, which can be built up into Awards, Certificates or Diplomas.
CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care: This is made up of units directly relevant to your job. To complete this qualification a learner must achieve:
§ A minimum of 46 credits
§ 22 credits from the mandatory units
§ 2-7 credits from the Optional Units in Group B
§ A minimum of 15 credits from the Optional Units in Group C
