Maryland Technology Literacy Student Standards

Professional Development Modules I – V

Introduction and Frequently Asked Questions

Introduction

The Professional Development Modules for the Maryland Technology Literacy Student Standards is divided into five (5) modules. Each module can be independent of the others, but it is highly recommended that Module I take place before any of the others. Each module can be facilitated in a face-to-face setting, or as an online facilitated course, or as a hybrid of the two. The recommendation of the development team is that Module I be completed in a face-to-face setting.

Module I is Building Understanding of the Maryland Technology Literacy Student Standards. Module II covers the Components of Technology Integrated Learning. Module III is Universal Design for Learning and Module IV reflects Using Technology to Support Learning. Module V deals with follow-up activities.
