The purpose of this educational webcast is quality improvement.

Learning Objectives – Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

·  Understand the definition of the term “sentinel injury”

·  Define which sentinel injuries are most frequently associated with physical abuse

·  Discuss the impact of failing to recognize and address seemingly minor injuries in young children

Pre-registration is required for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM Award. This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other health care professionals who may respond to suspected child abuse.
