STEELVILLE SPORTS CLUB ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships, one to a male and one to a female, will be awarded annually to a graduate of the SteelvilleR-IIISchool District in Steelville, Missouri.

The recipient of the scholarship will be the most “outstanding” senior athlete, involved with Steelville Sports Club and the community in some way. Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this scholarship.

  1. A student must be enrolled in and have been accepted by a post-high school institution. After proof of enrollment, scholarship monies will be sent directly to the college to be used for tuition, dorm fees, and incidentals.
  1. Each scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $250.00
  1. A student must have been enrolled and in full time attendance of the Steelville
    R-III School two (2) years, four (4) consecutive semesters, immediately preceding graduation.
  1. A student must have lettered in one (1) varsity sport for two (2) consecutive years at SteelvilleR-IIIHigh School.
  1. A student must have an accumulative grade point average of 8.0 at the end of seven semesters.
  1. Financial Need – Income of family showing need of graduate.
  1. Consideration will be given to graduates who have received no other scholarships.

A Steelville Sports Club Athletic Scholarship committee will determine the winners of both the male and female award. Determination will be based on the above criteria and with the assistance of the high school athletic director, high school guidance counselor, and high school principal.
