It is understood that the Rowe Gallery Committee and Exhibitor(s) agree to the following terms:

To be considered eligible for Member rental fees and commission rates, the Exhibitor or Group Contact must be a GAC member in good standing for 2 years prior to request. Member rental is $250 with Artist Market intact (4 permanent cases and 3 movable cases) or *$400 with Artist Market removable cases taken from Rowe Gallery as compensation for reduced operating revenue generated by Artist Market sales.

Non GAC MemberRental is $400 with Artist Market and $550 without Artist Market. Rental covers approximately 8 weeks with 6 weeks reserved for actual exhibition in the Rowe Gallery and use of the classroom and kitchen for the public event. The RENTAL FEE must be paid in full no later than 1month prior to the show.

Receiving, dismantling of exhibit and pickup are the responsibility of the Exhibitor(s). The installation and labeling of the artwork is the responsibility of the Exhibitor(s) or a fee may be paid to the GAC for a minimum of $100 depending on the complexity of the installation and the number of works. One or 2 members of the GAC will assist in all aspects of preparation and dismantling for the exhibit, but will NOT act as the sole agents. The GAC will provide sales personnel, bartenders, and kitchen assistance for the public event and maintain sales personnel for the term of the exhibit. Development, production, and mailing of a prospectus and/or catalog is the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor(s).Installation fees, if applicable, must be paid 2 weeks prior to installation. Works not picked up within 5 days of the exhibit’s end will be assessed a $25 storage fee payable to GAC. The GAC will provide basic press releases to the media and update its website and Facebook with pertinent photos and information. It is recommended that the Exhibitor(s) supplements GAC publicity with their own media resources.

Tableware, paper plates, napkins,table centerpiece, and decorations are the full responsibility of the Exhibitor or an additional fee may be paid to the GAC for this service at a cost of $100. Main refreshments and beverages and wine are the responsibility of the Exhibitor with the understanding that the GAC members will bring supplemental side dishes. If GAC provides the food a fee of $150 will be charged. If the Exhibitor chooses to use wine from the GAC wine bar, a count will be made by the bartender after the event and fees charged at the rate of $7.50 per .750 ml bottle and $15 per 1.5 litre bottle. The kitchen facilities and equipment, wine bar and glasses, coffee pots, punch bowls, tables for refreshments, and basic tablecloths may be used at no additional cost.

Additional fee requirements for the Exhibitor(s) include ½ of the printing cost for the oversize postcard invitation - full color front, B/W back for a minimum of 2500 pieces; additional pieces are the responsibility of Exhibitor(s) and ½ mailing costs. A supplemental mailing list compiled by the Exhibitor(s) is to be provided to the GAC for inclusion in the master list. Furthermore, design of the invitation is the responsibility of the Exhibitor(s) with the following items clearly included on the back of the card: the GAC logo and the Laurel Highlands logo, gallery hours, a minimum of 2 upcoming shows, the GAC Bulk Mail imprint. The Exhibitor(s) may include their own logo, if applicable. Assistance for graphic design of the invitation may be provided at Exhibitor’s request. The GAC will provide labeling services and the actual mailing of the invitation. The invitation design is to be approved by the Gallery Committee to confirm content.

Artist payments will be made approximately 2 weeks after the close of the show with the understanding that any unpaid fees will be deducted before disbursement. The commission charged to the Exhibitor(s) by GAC is 25% for members and 30% for non-members. Any exhibition entry fees are retained by the Exhibitor(s).

Submission of works to the Rowe Gallery and/or the Greensburg Art Club does not guarantee exhibition of every piece. GAC reserves the right to limit displayed works as determined by space limitations, the visual flow of the exhibit, community standards, and the integrity and professional presentation of the piece as outlined below at the Gallery Committee’s discretion:

a. Wired with adequate gauge wire; no sawtooth or screw eye hangers; no clip-type glass holders in place of frames, must use actual frames or gallery wrap canvas.

b. Secure frames with strong joints and in good condition; repairs must be made to noticeable markings

c. All dust covers (wood frames only) to be intact and in good condition

d. Specific instructions for special or unusual installations must include a diagram with appropriate labeling of parts

e. All work to be signed by the artist but no personal contact information is permitted visible to the public

f. All jewelry polished, securely joined to fittings and backings and in good working condition

g. Sculptures must have a permanent base with a smooth underside or protective covering to prevent damage

h. All 3D works must be stable, not top-heavy, and utilize sound construction techniques

i. All art must be of sufficient quality of workmanship to withstand normal transfer, installation, and storage procedures

Every effort will be made by the GAC to handle art in a professional manner; however, the Gallery and/or Greensburg Art Club, its members, personnel, or volunteers will not assume responsibility for minor scratches, markings, or normal wear and tear on the artwork or as a result of inadequate workmanship or excessively fragile materials or construction methods. This waiver does not exclude or negate insurable losses such as burglary, fire, etc., but is limited to compensation as determined by the insurance carrier.
