PhotoStitching your Panoramic Images in Adobe Bridge and Photoshop
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHxL_2fYv4U

1.  Label and arrange your panorama photos in order on your Desktop.

2.  If your photos vary greatly in brightness or contrast, make these adjustments to each photo individually in Photoshop, so that they look like they will “fit well” together.

3.  Open Adobe Bridge.

4.  Select all of your pano photos (hold SHIFT down to select multiple files).

5.  Go to Tools>Photoshop>Photomerge.

6.  Wait for Photoshop to open…then choose which type of Panorama you want. (Perspective, Cylindrical, Spherical, Collage, Reposition) and click OK.

7.  Wait for PHotoshop to allign your photos…this may take a while, especially if you have a lot of photos to merge. Be patient. J

8.  After Photoshop has merged the photos, each individual photo still exists on a separate layer. If you select a layer individually, you can tweak the allignment by hand—making sure everything lines up as you want.

9.  Crop the panorama photo if you want.

10.  When you are satisfied, in your Layers window, highlight all of your layers and click on the options button (right corner of window) and choose Merge Layers.

11.  Now you can make any tweaks (Brightness and Contrast) to the photo as a whole.

12.  Check your image size and resolution before saving. Image>Image Size. Your resolution MUST be set at 200 if you ever want to print this photo! Make sure the height and width make sense for printing (so set width at either 11 or 17 inches).

13.  SAVING: If you want to continue editing your panoramic picture, save as a .psd (Photoshop) file. If you are finished and ready to upload your photo, save it as a .jpeg.

PhotoStitching by Hand in Photoshop

1.  Open Photoshop and créate a new document. File>New.

2.  Set your width and height at a printable measurement (11x8.5 inches or 17x11 inches), RESOLUTION MUST BE AT 200 IF YOU WANT TO PRINT. Otherwise, 72 is fine for web.

3.  Drag your first photo into Photoshop.

4.  Resize to make room for the rest of your photos. Hold SHIFT down to keep the original proportions. OR you can change the w: (width) and h: (height) on the top toolbar, so that all your photos resize to the exact same size.

5.  Move the photo to the left side of your document and doublé click to “place” it.

6.  Drag your second pano picture into this document and resize to same size as first photo. Double click to “place” it.

**Notice that each photo is on it’s own layer. Your second layer will sit on top of your first, but if you want it to shuffle behind your first to line up better, just drag Layer 2 below Layer 1 in your Layers window.

7.  Play with the layers and allignment to make your photos fit together as one panorama. You may have to use both the mouse and your keyboard arrows.

8.  Continue for all pano photos until you have pieced together your panoramic image! Remember, you have to be on the corresponding layer in order to adjust each image.

9.  Crop the panorama photo if you want.

10.  When you are satisfied, in your Layers window, highlight all of your layers and click on the options button (right corner of window) and choose Merge Layers.
