Regular Monthly Public Meeting
October 19, 2015
The Muncy School District Board of Directors held their regular monthly public meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Muncy Junior-Senior High School Library, 200 West Penn St., Muncy, PA 17756
Present were: President Scott McLean, Vice-President Mary Bennardi, Treasurer Carla Auten, Connie Coyner, Rhondel Moyle, and Lisa Sleboda. Sarah Woodward arrived at 7:07 and Scott Johnson and Robert Titman were absent.
Members of the administration present were: Business Administrator David Edkin, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Kimberly Hamilton, and Solicitor Chris Kenyon.
President McLean called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
There was one visitor present.
Mrs. Auten moved to approve the minutes of the September 21, 2015 Regular Public Meeting of the Muncy School District Board of Directors. Mrs. Coyner seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Ms. Sleboda moved to approve the following September 2015 Financial Reports:
1. Treasurer’s Report 3. Student Activity Fund
2. General Fund 4. Food Service Report
Mrs. Moyle seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. (Copied in Minute Book)
Dr. Bennardi moved to approve the following agreement:
Vendor Goods/Services/Fees
Cindi Brown Sign Language Interpretation Services / $40.00 per hour

Ms. Sleboda moved to approve a calendar revision to reflect an early dismissal for the high school on December 23, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. for the purpose of accommodating a career fair for high school students. Mrs. Auten seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. (Copied in Minute Book.)
Mrs. Auten moved to approve the first reading of the following new and/or revised Board Policies:
101-Philosophy of Education – District Mission Statement
102-Academic Standards
Mrs. Coyner seconded the motion and it passed unanimously
Ms. Sleboda moved to approve the first reading for the following revised emergency operating procedure:
Armed intruder procedure
Mrs. Auten seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Dr. Bennardi moved to approve the following course additions to the high school’s course selection guide:
AP Physics
Pennsylvania and Local History Elective
Mrs. Coyner seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Dr. Bennardi moved to approve revisions to the school district’s graduation requirements. Ms. Sleboda seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. (Copied in Minute Book.)
Mrs. Coyner moved to approve homebound instruction for a high school student in accordance with the provisions of Board Policy #117. Mrs. Moyle seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
PERSONNEL
Mrs. Auten moved to approve the following:
PROFESSIONAL
Appointment
Certified professional staff member to instruct a remediation course at the homebound rate for students not scoring proficient or above on a Keystone Examination. Subject areas for remediation courses are Algebra 1, Biology, and Literature.
Leave
Child rearing leave in accordance with the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for
Michelle Pick beginning approximately January 19, 2016 and lasting approximately eight weeks.

Name: 6-8 staff members
Date: November 19-21, 2015
Conference: Leader in Me Symposium, Brooklyn, NY
Cost: $538 each plus travel
