TITLE: CHILD PROTECTIONPOLICY
PURPOSE: To protect the pupils/students from all forms of violence-written,
verbal or electronic expression, physical act or gesture or any
combination.
SCOPE: All pupils/students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 of Upper Tantangan
Elementary School.
POLICY STATEMENT:
The school shall protect the pupils/students from bullying and other
forms of violence-written, verbal or electronic expression,
physical act or gesture or any combination that may caused by
adults, fellow pupils/students and by the teachers placing the
latter in reasonable fear of physical or emotional harm that would
disrupt the right of the child to study.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Violence against Women and Children Committee Desk (VAWCD)
IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURE:
1. The violence Against Women and Children’s Desk (VAWCD) shall
have the authority to conduct investigation on the unbecoming
behavior of an intimidator/s or bully/s and by the school head.
2. Incidents of violence/bullying act committed by a student/pupil
against fellow student/pupil in schoolor after dismissal must
be acted immediately upon incident is reported either to the
teacher or to the school head.
3. That the identity of the person who witnessed and reports acts of
Bullying or retaliation is keep confidentially;
4. The parents or guardians of both parties shall be called by the
VAWC committee for amicable settlement;
5. The School Guidance Coordinator shall have the right to conduct
Counseling on both parties: the bullies, the victims, their
Parents or guardians.
6. The parents or guardian of the bully/s shall make a commitment
to discipline and give parental guidance to the child.
7. Teachers who humiliate students will face administrative sanction:
8. Imposed sanctions/disciplinary measures.
8.1 First Offense, the bully/s shall be reprimanded and undergo
Counseling;
8.2 Second Offense, the same bullies with his/her parents/
guardians shall be endorsed to the barangay council
for further discipline;
8.3 Third Offense, the same intimidator/s or bully/s with the
parent shall be endorsed to DSWD to undergo a rehabilitation
program commensurate with the nature and gravity of
the offense.
