A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Karen J. Frailie.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Karen J. Frailie, and we pause in silent reverence for her soul.

WHEREAS, Karen J. Frailie was born on March 8, 1946, a native of Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky, and she traversed these earthly bounds on February 20, 2003; and

WHEREAS, Karen J. Frailie was the loving daughter of Mary Elizabeth Hereford Wolfe of Ashland and the late Delbert T. Wolfe; she was the devoted wife of Donald L. Frailie II; she was the loving mother of Mary Elizabeth Frailie of Ashland; and she also leaves behind a loving sister, Jan Wolfe Kasten of Lexington; and

WHEREAS, Karen J. Frailie was an esteemed member of the Boyd County community where she was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church; she was a middle school English teacher, and taught for 27 years in the Ashland System at Putnam, Coles-Putnam, and Verity middle schools; she taught for eight years at Rose Hill Christian School where she was dedicated to the pursuit of Christian education; and

WHEREAS, a life spent worthily should be measured by deeds, not years, and through her compassion, enthusiasm, and genuine love and concern for her fellow man, Karen J. Frailie is worthy of the highest commendation; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Karen J. Frailie has left a void that cannot be filled, and she is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. This honorable body does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Karen J. Frailie, and extends to her family and many friends its heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Karen J. Frailie.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mr. Donald L. Frailie II, P. O. Box 829, Ashland, Kentucky 41105-0829.
