  • This researched essay explores the opportunities provided for and required of an individual who is interested in pursuing teaching as a career. Educational requirements are provided, as well as explanations of graduate options that a teacher can pursue after he or she has started teaching. In connection with educational requirements, colleges and universities that offer strong teaching programs have been identified. Furthermore, volunteer and shadowing work has been researched in an effort to help anyone who is interested in working in the field before or during college. After this, pay levels are explained. The pay of a teacher can vary at different points within his or her career. All of these variations are explained in depth. Finally, an interview with a teacher was conducted. This interview covered many aspects of teaching. These include, but are not limited to: Challenges, experiences, opportunities, and successes.

Teaching is a very popular career choice. Many individuals who enter this field are interested in helping others achieve their goals. Before he or she can do this, they must earn specific credentials in order to be qualified.

According to the U.S. News Directory (2014), “Secondary teachers specialize in a specific subject, such as biology” (High School Teacher-Job Description, Salary and Outlook, 2014).
