Luke 2:7 – 17
7And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
8Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
10Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
11For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwilltoward men!”
15So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
16And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
17Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.

7Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared.
8And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”

B. Multitude of Angels - (noisy) - Shepherds
C. There’s something far greater than angels trying to get your
attention today:
1) The Holy Spirit
John 16:13 & 14 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. 14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
3. You May Not Find Him Where YOU Expect Him
To Be.

1) A King should be born in a palace
2) Some think God can only be found the way they found him
a) In the text the shepherds found Him in the stable
b) The Wise Men found Him in a house
c) You might have found Him at an altar in church

3) Many are losing their kids and grandchildren today because
they are stereotyping where and how to find Jesus
a) There is no set place; b) No set song; c) No set way

4. When You Find Him You’ll Do Some Strange
Things
A. Shepherds
1. Became Witnesses:
Luke 2:17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
2. Began Glorifying and Praising God
Luke 2:20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
B. The Wise Men
1. “Fell Down” and worshipped Him
Matthew 2:11(a) And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him…
2. Brought their treasurers
Matthew 2:11(b) …And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
