Overall Purpose of Job:
To deliver an efficient and effective cleaning service that meets customer requirements first time, on time, at lowest possible cost.
Main Responsibilities:

Present a positive image to the customer at all times

Organise and carry out all allocated work to fulfil operational requirements
Contribute to the efficiency and quality of the service and undertake training as required
Maintain personal health and safety
Maintain security and confidentiality

Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and colleagues

Carry out all work in accordance with agreed procedures and safe working practices
Carry out all other appropriate work as directed by line manager
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required:

Knowledge of cleaning substances and techniques, including health and safety issues.

Creativity and Innovation:

Work with very limited opportunity for creative or innovative thinking

Decision Making:
Work is carried out within clearly defined rules and procedures and advice is available if required. Decisions made have limited and short term effect on employees beyond immediate colleagues or on the public. Effects of decisions would be quickly known and readily amended if necessary.
Contacts and Relationships:
Routine or incidental contacts involving exchange of information on non contentious matters.
Responsibility for Resources: (to include approximate value, sole or shared responsibility and for what percentage of their working hours away from their designated base)
Responsible for the proper use and safe keeping of a range of cleaning equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Demands:
Work where tasks are interchanged but the programme of tasks is not normally interrupted.
Physical Demands:

Work requiring normal physical for the operation of cleaning machinery.

Working Conditions:

Work normally performed in a heated, lit and ventilated indoor environment; may be exposed to occasional high heat, noise or outside conditions

Work Context:
Work potentially involves some risk to personal safety or injury, illness or health problems arising from the environment or the public.
