-When will it be completed: Enter the deadline you are giving your pupils

-How long after the event will you collect sponsorship money. Enter 3 months

-Are you fundraising on your own or with others: Click ‘Just me’

-On the next page, Momentum information will be filled in automatically. If you have a fundraising target in mind, you can enter it here.

Thank you for taking part in the Grow £5 For Mo Challenge, in aid of local children’s charity Momentum. We hope you had fun coming up with your business idea, and enjoyed watching your £5 hopefully generate lots of profit!

All the profits you raised will go to Momentum, allowing them to continue their vital work supporting families whose children have cancer or a life-limiting condition. The charity helps families in many different ways, from providing emotional and practical advice throughout their child’s illness and beyond; offering music therapy; organising respite holidays in the New Forest or on the Momentum riverboat; and arranging other trips and treats. Momentum also transforms treatment rooms in local hospitals, making them less scary places for children to visit.

On behalf of our school, and Momentum, thank you for your fabulous fundraising! It really will make a huge difference.

Feel free to add anything else to your page that you wish – once you’re happy, take a note of your Page’s web address and press save.

  1. Promote the Challenge to your pupils

-We suggest you talk about it in Assembly (please contact us if you’d like someone from Momentum to come along as well) to introduce the Challenge to all pupils

-Send out further information to pupils, ideally via email/Parentmail, including:

  • Your School Fundraising Page (for pupils to pay in the money)
  • The deadline you’ve set
  • Challenge Instruction Sheet: Top Tips for Budding Entrepreneurs, available for parents/pupils to view online here.

-Send out a few reminders and talk about any examples in Assembly, to encourage as many pupils to take part.

-Remind pupils that the Top Fundraiser during this Academic Year will win a pair of DRE Beats Headphones from Momentum. You may also like to consider offering a small prize for the top fundraiser within your school.
