Project Title: What can we learn from lego?
Project and exhibition: Lego Launch to parents to raise money for Lincs2Nepal
Project Synopsis:
Moving in KS2 can be quite daunting for some children. We thought it would be a good idea to link all out learning outcomes through lego, to show pupils learning is still fun and exciting. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
·  Our project this term is about natural disasters. We will begin by looking at our news, moving onto news all around the world.
·  The children will be hooked into their learning through a visit from Lincs2Nepal. We will begin by thinking about how people survive natural disasters.
·  We will then move on to learning about a school the charity helps in Nepal. We will write letters to them, learning about clean water and the water cycle.
·  We will then move on to Tornadoes and act out scenarios using lego and youtube as a starting point. Children will then write newspaper reports about the event.
·  To finish we will research volcanoes. Children will learn about heating and cooling materials and make their very own ‘volcano cookies’
To finish the topic you will be invited to our LEGO LAUNCH to see what we have learnt this term. / Curriculum opportunities:
