I release the Gulf Coast Chapter of TAPT (GCAPT), the Special Needs Team Safety Roadeo, Spring ISD and all its officers or representatives from any liability and any right of action that might arise from any damage or injury, which we may receive from competing in said Roadeo.

The GCAPT and the Special Needs Team Safety Roadeo or its assigns shall have the right to use any articles or photographs taken of me at or in connection with the Roadeo for whatever purpose, whether in advertising, promotions or exhibits.

All orders, rules and regulations governing the Regular School Bus Roadeo and the Special Needs Team Safety Roadeo shall bind me while participating in said Roadeo.

Deadline for filing this entry is Friday, March 27, 2015. Note: Each participating district – PLEASE bring at least one door prize.

Each Driver must provide copies of the following information with the entry form. No driver will be allowed to compete if not registered or if any or all paperwork has not been submitted as required.

1.  Valid Commercial Drivers License with Passenger & School Bus endorsements

2.  Current annual DOT physical exam certificate (copy of Medical Exam card may be sent)

3.  Current driving record (MVR) with acceptable driving record for school bus drivers (no more than 9 points) and no chargeable accidents while driving a school bus since 9-1-14.

4.  Current DPS Certification (Successful completion of 20-hour DPS school bus driver training course. Enrollment Certificate not acceptable)

Contestants will be given a team number at registration. Contestants must remain in the waiting area until their number is called. District alternates may attend, but must remain in the waiting area.

The completed written exam must be presented at the time of registration.

Contestants must wear proper footwear (closed toe, no sandals or flip flops) and dress in a manner as to appropriately represent the Gulf Coast Chapter of the TAPT and the school district they represent. No cell phone usage will be allowed during the event.

Trophies will be awarded to the three top winning teams. These 3 teams will advance to state competition in June at the TAPT Conference in Dallas, Texas. Fourth place contestants will be the team alternates in the event that one of the top three are unable to compete.

Donuts, coffee and lunch will be served for all participating contestants, judges and volunteers. Observers and family members may purchase a meal ticket the day of the event.
