November, We Pray for All Souls

A prayer to release many souls from Purgatory each time it is said and which was extended to include living sinners as well.

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, for those in my own home and in my family. Amen.

A Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory

O gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on them. Be not severe in Your judgments, but let some drops of Your Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames. And, Merciful Savior, send Your angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen.

Question of the Week for the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time:

Question for Children: God always stays with you, no matter what. What signs can you see to help you believe that?

Question for Youth: Death is a hard reality in our human life, but if we believe in the resurrection, we know it isn’t the end of the journey. How does your belief in heaven affect the way you live?

Question for Adults: Having faith in difficult times is hard! What makes you believe in the promise that God will be your strength, as Paul says?
