Program Title:Promoting Healthy Living and Sustainable Families in ManateeCounty / Target Audience: Manatee County ResidentsDescribe program objectives
:To increase understanding of the role nutrition plays in good health by 50% among class participants by the end of a series of nutrition classes as determined by pre/post test.
To increase consumption of fruits and vegetables by one serving a day among 50% of class participants after completion of a series of nutrition classes as determined by a six-month follow-up survey.
To increase knowledge of cardiovascular disease risk factors among 75% of class participants by the end of an educational program as determined by pre/post test.
To decrease the consumption of convenience foods by one serving a day among 50% of class participants after completion of a series of nutrition classes as determined by a six-month follow-up survey.
To decrease blood A1C levels by at least 1% among 75% of class participants after completion of the eight-week Take Charge of Your Diabetes program as determined by six-month follow-up blood tests.

To increase the pass rate of the ServSafe Food Manager Certification Exam to 70% among class participants by the end of an eight-hour ServSafe training class as determined by exam scores.
