Teacher - Parent Communication
· Please feel free to write notes in your student’s assignment notebook and remember to check for teacher responses.
· Many of our teachers use their e-mail regularly and prefer to communicate electronically. Please pass on your e-mail address to any teacher you wish to maintain e-mail communication with.
· You may call and leave a phone message (419-671-7200) for any teacher. We will return your phone call as soon as we can
· If you would like to meet with the cluster teachers in person you may call the above number to set it up. We hold parent meetings as a group every Friday at 7:30am.
Dress Code
All students are expected to be in dress code EVERY DAY. Please make sure your student has the appropriate clothing for school, including a belt and solid colored shoes! Please see the Student Handbook for further details.
Students must have shirts tucked in at all times!!!!

Discipline System
Referrals
The Knowledge Masters will be issuing referrals for behavior as well as dress code violations. Minor violations such as missing supplies, tardiness, or no homework will be handled individually by each teacher.
Cluster Rewards
Each quarter our cluster will host a reward program for those students who have:
· 1 or fewer behavior referrals and
· 2 or fewer dress code referrals.

Assignment Book
Each student is required to purchase an assignment book at the beginning of the school year. The assignment book will be used to record homework assignments, meeting or supply reminders and will also be used as a restroom/hallway pass. Your student will need his/her assignment notebook to leave the classroom for any reason. This allows us track how often each student is leaving the classroom. Please help us by checking your student’s assignment book everyday for notes and homework assignments.
If an assignment book is misplaced, a new one can be purchased for $1.00 in the office.
Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for students to receive the maximum benefit from their educational experience. All students are expected to be in attendance every day that school is open. If a student must be absent, a written excuse must be presented to the homeroom teacher the following day.
Make-up Work
It is the student’s responsibility to ask teachers for make-up work and return completed work in a timely manner.
