The Great Preschool Puzzle Challenge

During our Family Day activities, we had the Great Puzzle Challenge! Puzzles are a great activity to promote working together. They require perseverance, problem solving and even physical skills to hold and turn pieces. They support both early reading and math skills of preschoolers. Between both morning afternoon classes, they completed almost 1000 puzzle pieces! Way to Go!!! We also enjoyed board games; supporting student’s turn taking, counting and completing the game.

Both the puzzles and games produced tons of smiles and laughing. So consider unplugging your life on a regular basis to help your preschooler and build family bonds!

Our classroom curriculum has taken us on bear hunts, taken us to the pet store and into the role of a paleontologist! We love dinosaur hunting, especially when we sing our Dinosaur March, Dinosaurs Go Out to Play. Be sure to have your preschooler sing for you!

Winter Fun! The Field Museum of Chicago has FREE admission for all Illinois residents this month. Since we are studying dinosaurs, this would be a great family adventure! Your preschooler would love to meet Sue: the T-Rex up close. Please check out their website for further details.
