This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and professionalPersonal Development practitioner to take on this new role of Personal Development Lead Facilitator to join a new Christian all-through free school in Birmingham to support the schools personal development programme for students in KS3-5.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, have an excellent track record of developing and delivering training programmes to students.

King Solomon International Business School is Birmingham’s first co-educational, multi-denominational, inclusive, all-through faith designated Christian school for students aged 4-19. The school, located in Birmingham city, welcomes children from the Christian faith as well as those from other faiths and those of no faith. The school is Birmingham’s first Christian, international business, all through free school. Job Description for Personal Development Lead Facilitator

Reports to: Parents College Manager

Accountable to: Principal

Job purpose

To recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors to support the school’s personal development programme for students in KS3-5

Duties and responsibilities

  • To develop a range of training and personal development programmes for students in KS3-5 in conjunction with key members of staff
  • To recruit, train and support volunteer mentors to deliver the programmes
  • To deliver training
  • To provide 1:1 mentoring support
  • Internally verify accredited courses
  • Form partnerships with universities to work to the school to raise students aspirations
  • To support the Parents College Manager as and when required
  • To monitor and evaluate the impact of specific personal development programmes
  • To attend meetings as required
  • To safeguard students

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level
  • An appropriate training and development qualification
  • At least 5 years’ experience of developing and delivering personal development training programmes for Parents
  • Experience in training needs analysis, training design and development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A high standard of communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to accurately comprehend the training & development needs of individuals and/or groups
  • A commitment to equality of opportunities

  • Committee to safeguarding children and young people.
