II. Reports

  1. Secretary- Vote to approve November 2014 minutes
  2. Treasurer- Mrs. Barker; reminder about reimbursement forms
  3. Editor- please send all photos from any chorus events to Jennifer Collins for our scrapbook! Her email address is .
  4. Vice-Presidents
  5. Administration- Mrs. Eisenmann-Byerly- winter show pregame assistance
  6. Volunteers- Mrs. Batallan
  7. Uniforms & Costumes- Mrs. Tekdogan/Mrs. Lewark/Mrs. Sookhansingh- Uniform checks and rechecks; purchases update
  8. Music & Library- Mrs. Seckman- ALL CHORUS NOTEBOOKS due for check by Fri. 12/12. Holiday music will be removed and choristers will be fined for anything missing from their folder.
  9. Fundraising- Mrs. Holley- Marlins update- we sing the national anthem on Friday April 10, 2015!
  10. Staging- Mrs. Jordao- help needed with setting up on Wednesday after school and with moving all concert items over to SPHS on Fri. 12/12 during the day
  11. Presidents- Mrs. Wright/ Mrs. Chenet
  12. Mrs. Greggs (calendar is online & was emailed out, stats as of 12/1;NAFME project;All State & Broward Co. Honor Choir, etc.)

III. Old Business

  1. Winter Program Book Ad FORMS went home Nov. 18, due back by TONIGHT.
  2. 24th Annual Winter Holiday Concert- theme is “A Holiday to Remember!!!”
  1. Vocal Solo & instrumental auditions were held on Wed. & Fri. Nov. 19 & 21 by appointment. Selected acts will perform for the 12/11 and 12/15 shows.
  2. School show times are Thursday Dec.11 at 8:25am (PK-2nd) and 9:30am (3rd-5th) in the cafeteria. Evening show is Mon. 12/15/14 at 7pm- location SPHS auditorium- with 6pm SHARP arrival for sound check- in formal uniforms. Bring all costumes in supplied costume bags. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR 12/11 MORNING AND 12/15 6-9PM BEFORE AND AFTER SHOW BACKSTAGE.
  3. Attire is formal uniforms (black gowns or tux outfits) + props.
  4. Stage decoration- Mrs. Jordao- volunteer to purchase 24 poinsettias by 12/10 4:15pm (will be reimbursed)- need to be brought to PPE.
  5. Help needed morning of 12/11 & for moving over on 12/12 and setting up 12/15, then breaking down after show. Items need to be returned to PPE the next morning.
  1. Holiday Celebration- who will get the donuts for 100 kids for 12/11 shows? (will be reimbursed)

IV. New Business

  1. Need of the Month- No. 2 pencils, colored copy paper and treats for the treat jar
  2. Possible spring show concert themes: Broadway, Sound of Music, others? Kids vote on theme.

VI. Next PPSBA General Meeting Time = PPSBA BOARD PLANNING MEETING Friday Jan. 23 at 7pm at Mrs. Greggs’ home in Coral Springs. Officers please RSVP & bring a dish to share! Next PPSBA General Meeting isThurs. Feb. 5, 2015 at 6:30pm in the PPE Media Center.

PPSBA exists to promote the chorus and music education in general at Plantation Park Elementary School. PPSBA strives to help choristers develop scholarship, leadership, character, and musicianship.
