Daniel in the Light of Revelation: Is God through with the Jew?
63 BC – Rome Pompey, the Roman General came in and conquered Israel
Israel came under another Gentile ruler: Rome
4 BC Jesus Christ was born (also the year Herod died)
20 BC Herod had started rebuilding/remodeling the Temple
AD 29-33 Jesus was crucified
AD 70 Jerusalem was destroyed by a Roman General: Titus
AD 476 Roman Empire came to an end
The gap between the legs and the toes: The Time of the Gentiles
Pentecost occurred 50 days AFTER the Feast of First Fruits
Jesus Christ died at the same time Passover was being celebrated.
Buried. Then raised at the same time they were celebrating First Fruits.
Dan. 9:27 There WILL be a Temple (because there are sacrifices)
Dan. 7:19-26 Description of the last 3 ½ years of the 70th week
Dan. 7:27 A kingdom coming and set up; given to the saints: A picture of the kingdom of God.
Dan. 12:1-11
Dan. 12:1 Your people: Jews Only those written in the book will be rescued
Matt. 24:15, 21-22, 24 & 31 The abomination of desolation
2 Thess. 2:4 He is standing in the Holy of holies, making himself to be God
Dan. 12:1 Matt. 24:22 For the sake of the elect – the Jews – IF they believe in Jesus as Messiah
Matt. 24:24 The elect will NOT be misled
Matt. 24:29-31 Immediately AFTER those days, the last 3 ½ years.
Dan. 12:2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake: these to everlasting life but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.
When the Son of Man comes, that time of distress is over and the elect are saved, then people will be resurrected, the Jews: Remember Daniel is a Jewish book.
Some to everlasting life and some to contempt: Hell
Everlasting life: Those who have had their names written in the book of life.
Dan. 12:6-7 How long until the end of these wonders?
Time, times and half a time: 3 ½ years The power of the holy people will be shattered
Dan. 12:11 From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up (9:27), there will be 1,290 days.
1,290-1,260= 30 days ????
Zech. 13:7-8 2/3 of this land of Israel will be cut off and 1/3 will be left
Zech. 13:9 I will bring the 1/3 part through the fire and refine THEM (not it)…and they will call upon My name and I will answer them….
1/3 is the elect – the ones that survive all of this
Jer. 30:1-9 In the time of Jeremiah, only Judah was left: the rest were in captivity
“I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their forefathers and they shall possess it.” Jer. 30:3
1948 Israel became a nation
Jer. 30:4-7 Why is a man groaning like a woman in labor? “It is a time of Jacob’s distress but he will be saved from it.”
Jer. 30:8-9 David will be raised from the dead!
Revelation 1-3 starts at Pentecost. The Spirit indwells us now.
Jesus gives a message to 7 literal churches that existed at that time.
AD 95 John wrote Revelation
Rev. 1:19 Things which you saw, the things which are and the things which must take place after these things.
Church Age: When God is bringing in the Fullness of the Gentiles
Rev. 1-3 The church is not mentioned again until Rev. 19 and is called the Bride of Christ.
Rev. 19:7-14
Rev. 11:14 2nd Woe is Past – 6th Trumpet
Rev. 11:3-13 Two witnesses have been witnessing for 3 ½ years, killed by the beast, lay in the streets of Jerusalem, caught up: 2 Woe is past, the 7th is coming
Rev. 13- 19:2 7th trumpet on through the 7th bowl is the last 3 ½ years.
Rev. 12 Description of a woman: a picture of Israel
Rev. 12:2 = 4 BC A picture of Israel bringing forth the Messiah
Rev. 12:3-4 Jesus’ parents fled into Egypt
Dragon 7 heads/10 horns picture of Rome: still in the legs of Daniel’s statue
Beast with 7 head/10 horns in the last half of the 3 ½ years Daniel’s 70th week you see the beast again. Only 4 kingdoms: a revived Roman Empire: a coalition of nations that is a revived Roman empire because there are only 4 kingdoms, then the 5th kingdom which is the mountain, the kingdom of God. (Rev. 12)
Between the birth of Christ and the Ascension of Christ: Rev. 12:1-5
Rev. 12:5-6 Her child is caught up to God and to His throne: Jesus is there now
The woman is nourished for 1,260 days – the last 3 ½ years – when Israel flees to a place that God has prepared for her.
So Israel MUST be in her land. 1948 Israel got her land and she will have it forever.
Ez. 36:1-2 Prophesies to the mountains of Israel
Ez. 36:3-15 Still speaking to the mountains, “Get ready for the coming of your people.”
Ez. 36:8 They will come soon
Ez. 36:10 The waste places will be rebuilt: God is bringing them back!!!
Ez. 36:22 They profaned His name because they were NOT in their land!
Ez. 36:24 -28 You will live in the land
Ez. 37:1-12 Graves are the nations where they were scattered
Ez. 37:16 Put the sticks together because Israel will be united
He will cleanse them, purge them and test them through the fire.
Ez. 37:22-25 They shall live on the land.
Ez. 37:26-28 I will be their God and they will be My people.
This is THEIR land and they will never be driven out.
But you MUST believe in Jesus Christ or you will perish!!!
Hear, Oh Israel, the Word of the Lord. Every word will come to pass.
