Title of Job: Infrastructure Development Officer

The Infrastructure Development Officerwill have following specific responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and in the guidance of District Coordinator in planning, developing and implementing of all small scale rural infrastructure development activities at the district.
  • Involve in timely preparation of quarterly/annual plan with targets, budget and time frame of the activities under the infrastructure component.
  • Conduct on the spot survey of the infrastructure activities and prepare design considering the strength of the structure and estimate of planned and recommended project for the implementation and submit with a proposal to the regional coordinator through the district coordinator.
  • Involve in ensuring effective & timely implementation of approved activities (ensuring disaster resilient).
  • Organize/conductcapacity building training for the users group/target beneficiaries considering the GESI, RBA, DRR, PA and environmental issues in close coordination with DC and other officers.
  • Conduct the public auditing (all stages) and prepare completion report of all rural infrastructure activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits to the project sites to supervise, monitor & evaluate ofrural infrastructures activitiesas per the requirement of the project.
  • Ensure the timely payments of project specific expenditures as per the approved budget limit based on guidelines and procedures.
  • Support to DC for preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports in close coordination with support staff and thematic officers in the district.
  • Support/work closely with other components and thematic officers.
  • Perform tasks, as assigned by the District Coordinator & for certain important tasks, communicate with Regional Coordinator & Central office in consultation with DC.
  • Any other tasks as deemed necessary during implementation of the project activities at ground level and as directed by the higher authorities and thematic experts.
  • Must gain in-depth knowledge on organization’s vision, mission, objective, policies, principles, norms, rules/regulations, working modalities as well as clear understanding of the project specific concept, process and other requirements of the relevant project within maximum 2 months of the appointment.
