Tabloid Sports Connect / Top 5 2015?
First ESSN Secondary Sport Carnival / After last minute withdrawals, Canning Vale College and Leeming SHS ESC had a fabulous day of activities on 9th December 2014. Leeming SHS ESC were declared the winners and will take home the ESSN Cup (once it is purchased). Response from staff and students very positive and the event declared to continue. Congratulations to CVC staff for arranging this last year. / For 2015 – EOI of a staff member from each interested secondary is requested to collaborate in the planning of the event. CVC happy to host again, or interested in EOI from other schools to host. Please email Melissa Sarich (CVC) if interested in participating, hosting or nominating a staff member to collaborate in the planning. / Term 1
In2Cricket Carnival
Steve Cannell / Program for Kalamunda ESC, Maddington ESC , Canning Vale ESC and Gwynne Park. This includes WACA staff attending 3 training sessions at each school and concludes with a carnival hosted at GPESC (half day) to take place in term 2 (dates TBO)
The Program is the In2Cricket program – Intro level course for primary aged students. Could be adapted for secondary school students with some simple modifications. / Trialling this with these schools but will look to include over schools either in term 4, 2015 or in 2016. / Term 2
ESSN Work skills Group / The group delivered on their plan to develop a scope of learning and related teacher resources for students to develop employability skills 7 – 12. / Available now in the ESSN Connect library. Possible task going forward – K – 12 Scope of learning / mapping with ABLEWA. Secondary Principals encouraged to view / recommend to relevant staff.
Level 3 Classroom Teacher Aspirant Group / Began with 8 teachers in 2013, 1 teacher from the group received a L3CT (Wirrabirra ESC) in 2014, currently 3 teacher aspirants in the group. Agnieszka Miller (coordinator) is going on leave this year – / EOI sought from any aspirants interested in coordinating group meetings, opportunity for feedback, support etc. Please contact Agnieszka Miller (CVC) for more information.
Primary Tabloids / Three events held. Term 1 2015 ‘ Coobie ‘Games’ next event.
