Love That BoyBy Walter Dean Myers

Love that boy,

Like a rabbit loves to run

I said I love that boy

Like a rabbit loves to run

Love to call him in the morning

Love to call him

“Hey there son!”

He walk like his Grandpa

Grins like his Uncle Ben

I said he walk like his Grandpa,

And grins like his Uncle Ben.

Grins when he’s happy,

When he sad, he grins again.

His mama like to hold him,

Like to feed him cherry pie.

I said his mama like to hold him.

Like to feed him cherry pie.

She can have him now.

I’ll get him by and by.

He got long roads to walk down

Before the setting sun.

I said he got a long, long road to walk down

Before the setting sun.

He’ll be a long stride walker,

And a good man before he done.

Love My Brother by K.H.

Love my brother

like a bunny loves carrots

I said I love my brother

like a bunny loves carrots

Love to call him in the morning

love to call him

“hey there Keith!”

He walks on his tippy toes

Laughs like his dad

I said he walks on his tippy toes

And laughs like his dad

Laughs when it’s funny

When he’s happy, he laughs again.

The Tyger by William Blake

Tyger, Tyger, burning bright,

IN the forests of the night;

What immortal hand or eye,

Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies,
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!
When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
TygerTyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

The Ocean by S.

Ocean, Ocean, cold and wet

What feaful foe have you met

That defeated you in battles?

Tiger, Earth or Snake that rattles?

Machine by A.

Machines, machines glowing bright

what lever or switch

can tame this beast

In what factory

made the beast

what purpose must he achieve

what man dare

control the beast.
