Case Systems Announces Promotion of Rick Vander Weele to Chief Executive Officer
MIDLAND, MI (Dec. 21) – Case Systems, Inc., an industry leader in the manufacture and development of casework and adaptable work environment equipment, announced today that its Board of Directors has named Rick Vander Weele to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Vander Weele has served since November 2005 as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Case Systems. Through his innovation and leadership, Vander Weele has helped Case Systems grow its business and post record profits. He succeeds Bob Bowden, who is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer after 16 years of leadership of the company. Bowden will retain his role as Chairman of Case Systems’ Board of Directors.
“I am very excited about taking on this expanded role at Case,” said Vander Weele. “Bob and I have worked very hard together the past four years, and I’m grateful to him for everything he has done to help set the company up for success. Due in no small part to Bob’s leadership, we’re in great shape to continue Case’s growth, and we plan to keep the trajectory going upward.”
“Vander Weele has consistently shown that he is a creative thinker with keen strategic insights, and I look forward to continuing to work with him to drive Case to new heights,” Bowden said. “With his strong industry knowledge and motivational leadership abilities, Rick is ideally suited to lead Case into the future.”
Prior to joining Case Systems, Vander Weele worked for 13 years for Memtron Input Components, a division of Esterline Technologies (NYSE:ESL), in various leadership roles, including Director of Finance, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and President and General Manager. Vander Weele earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Calvin College.
