Program Requirements:ETAP 680/681 can only be taken after 15 credits of program related course work has been completed.
ETAP 598 is a two-semester, 3-credit course. Students should register in the first fall semester of study and complete course requirements by the end of the spring semester.
ETAP 501 must be taken prior to ETAP 635.
ETAP 501 and 652B are recommended courses for the first semester of study.
ALIN 552, ETAP 635 and ETAP 536 are recommended courses for the second semester of study.
Additional Requirements:
Students who enter the program with a deficiency in their previous work in linguistics should also take ALIN 520 or any other “introduction to linguistics course” to remedy the deficiency; this does not count towards the 48-credit degree requirement.
