Program Requirements:
ETAP 680/681 can only be taken after 15 credits of program related course work has been completed.
ETAP 598 is a two-semester, 3-credit course. Students should register in the first fall semester of study and complete course requirements by the end of the spring semester.
ETAP 501 must be taken prior to ETAP 635.
ETAP 501 and 652B are recommended courses for the first semester of study.
ALIN 552, ETAP 635 and ETAP 536 are recommended courses for the second semester of study.
Additional Requirements:
Students who enter the program with a deficiency in their previous work in linguistics should also take ALIN 520 or any other “introduction to linguistics course” to remedy the deficiency; this does not count towards the 48-credit degree requirement.
