Film: The Thing at Snow Factor

What time will the doors open?

The doors will open at 19:00. If you have booked a ticket extension with a 18:45 Sledging Session or 18:45 Ice Bar access, you will be required to arrive at Snow Factor at 18:35.

What time will the film actually start?

The Thing will begin at 21:00. Audience should take their seats approx.10 minutes prior to this.

What will be happening at the event in addition to the film screening?

Join us for a super cool screening of The Thing on the snowy slope at Snow Factor! Public will have access to Bar Varia for drinks and a Quiz from 19:00, and then will be directed to the slope for the film screening from 20:30 onwards. Watch out, the Thing is out there!

Please note the temperature on the slope is -5 degrees Celsius and lower. As you will be spending the duration of the film out on the slope, we strongly advise you to layer up warm and make sure you bring a hat, gloves and non-slip, warm mountain shoe wear. Dress like you would for an Antarctic expedition!

There will be a limited number of ticket extensions with discounted Snow Factor rates for Sledging sessions or access to the Ice Bar before the film screening. A separate email will be sent with the necessary links to book the extension tickets.

Please note that if you book ticket extensions, the times of your sledging session or Ice Bar visit might overlap with the Quiz taking place in Bar Varia. If you would like to be a part of the Quiz, please ensure you start a team with another group that will be present in Bar Varia during the period.

What extension tickets will be available?

Extension tickets for 30 minutes Sledging Sessions will be available to book in advance with Snow Factor (limited by capacity) at the price of £5 per person. Session times will be: 18:45 / 19:15 / 19:45 / 20:15. Please follow the instructions sent in the separate email should you wish to purchase an extension ticket for the sledging sessions.

Extension tickets for 30 minutes Ice Bar access will be available to book in advance with Snow Factor (limited by capacity) at the price of £4 per person and will include one cocktail per person. Session times will be: 18:45 / 19:15 / 19:45 / 20:15. Please follow the instructions sent in the separate email should you wish to purchase an extension ticket for Ice Bar Access.

When will the film end?

The Thing is 1 hour and 49 minutes long and will finish at approx. 23:00.

When will I be required to vacate the venue?

The audience will be asked to leave Snow Factor immediately after the film ends (Approx. 23:00).

Where can I collect my tickets from?

Will you be selling tickets at the door?

If our event does not sell out, then tickets will be available to buy on the door. However, we have held similar events to this one before and they have nearly all sold out. We advise you to book your tickets as soon as possible.

Will there be food for sale at the event?

There will be snacks available for purchase at Bar Varia.

Will there be alcohol for sale at the event?

Yes, there will be a range of hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Bar Varia before the screening, as well as at the Ice Bar during the screening.

Are there any age restrictions for this event?

The Thing is a certificate 18. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over before you are given access to the event.

Can I reserve a seat?

All seats are unreserved, unless otherwise stated.

Are latecomers admitted?

Late entry to the event is at the discretion of the Event Coordinator. The Event Coordinator reserves the right of admission and their decision is final.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds will only be made in the case of cancellation of the event.
