TRACK & FIELD INVITATIONAL
Dear Coach:
You are invited to the 29th annual Johnstown High School Track & Field Invitational on Saturday May 8th, 2010 on the newly resurfaced track at Knox Athletic Field in Johnstown, New York.
The meet begins at 10:30 AM and may finish under the lights.
Last years meet was an excellent competition, we had 19 team competing for honors. We hope that you will join us for another fantastic competitive experience and give your athletes a chance to compete on the same track at Class B Championships and State Qualifiers in June.
Individual medals 1st thru 6th places for all varsity events
Ribbons 1st thru 6th places JV & Freshman/Sophomore.
Special Plaques “Best track performance” “Best field performance” and “Athlete of the meet” for boys and girls.
Awards determined by the games committee.
· Points awarded: 10-8-6-4-2-1. Two entries per school per event. Boys & Girls may compete in four events.
· 1 relay team per school per event including JV & frosh relays. Include alternates on your cards.
· Use 4”x6” white index cards only. Clip upper right corner of girls entry cards. Make out card for every individual or relay team, with athletes full name, event, school, best performance to date (for seeding) and coaches signature at bottom of card. Please be neat and legible.
· The infield is closed, and is only open for participants, coaches & officials.
· Spikes may be worn with no longer than 1/8” exposed on spikes.
· Not footballs, soccer balls, Frisbees, etc. No radios, boom boxes, grills (no open flames) etc.
· There will be a full service concession stand available.
· Please make copies for your athletes and families of the order of events enclosed in this packet.
