Books

  • "The General's Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine"—MikoPeled, the son of renowned Israeli General MattiPeled, tells us about growing up in Jerusalem. He takes us with him through his service in the country's military and his subsequent global travels... and then, after his niece's tragic killing, back into the heart of Israel's conflict with the Palestinians. The book provides a compelling and intimate window into the fears that haunt both peoples-- but also into the real courage of all those who, like MikoPeled, have been pursuing a steadfast grassroots struggle for equality for all the residents of the Holy Land.
  • "Blood Brothers" –an easy read, hard to put down paperback which will change your life forever, written by Elias Chacour, who as a child, lived in a small Palestinian village in Galilee. The townspeople were proud of their ancient Christian heritage and lived at peace with their Jewish neighbors. But early in 1947, their idyllic lifestyle was swept away as tens of thousands of Palestinians were killed and nearly one million forced into refugee camps. An exile in his native land, Elias began a years-long struggle with his love for the Jewish people and the world's misunderstanding of his own people, the Palestinians. How was he to respond? He found his answer in the simple, haunting words of the Man of Galilee: "Blessed are the peacemakers." Elias Chacour is a Melkite priest who has built schools, libraries, community centers, and youth clubs throughout Israel's Galilee region, where he lives, as a source of reconciliation between Palestinians and Jews. Chacour, who speaks eight languages, has taught in synagogues, mosques, and churches around the world.
  • "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine", a 300 page masterpiece, is quite possibly the most comprehensive and, at the same time most credible, single resource, because it is written by an Israeli Jewish author, IlanPappe, a renowned Israeli historian who served in the Israel Defense Forces as most Israelis do ,later graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and after obtaining his PhD from the University of Oxford, was a senior lecturer at the University of Haifa and chair of the Emil Touma Institute for Palestinian and Israeli Studies in Haifa. Dr. Pappe currently holds the Chair in History at the University of Exeter, and is aptly described by John Pilger as "Israel's bravest, most principled, most incisive historian".

Other publications

There are countless other publications on the topic, many of which may be found in the bibliography of Dr. Pappe's book.
