WABC Meeting
January 22, 2017
Members in Attendance: Christa Simmons, Paula Williams, Prieta Barrios, Kim Woodard, Sheree Corn, Ronnie Sparks, David Woodard, Marci Sparks, Missy Sulak

Treasure’s Report: Report presented, the working balance is $57,877.33
Officer Reports: None
Committee Reports:
Program Ad Sales – only 1 ad unpaid in the amount of $250
Old Business:
Trailer – Marci asked Coach Woodard to send her the names of companies to wrap the trailer, this had already been approved in a previous meeting and needs to be done during the off season
New Business:
Power Lifting Update: The meet will be 2/18/17, the booster club will help with volunteers for the concession stands, brown bag specials, hospitality room and breakfast for participants; Coach Woodard will meet this week with the district since power lifting is now a school sponsored sport to clarify what the booster club will help with for the event
Regional Power Lifting: The boys regional power lifting meet will be hosted in West on March 11th; Coach Woodard will let us know more details at the next meeting; Workers will be needed
Scholarships: Marci made the motion, and Ronnie seconded the motion, all were in favor, to appoint Sheree Corn, Prieta Barrios and one coach, to be appointed by Coach Woodard to serve as the scholarship committee; Missy made the motion and Ronnie seconded the motion to award up to six $1000 WABC scholarships and two Nick/Nick Memorial Scholarships each for $1000; The applications are posted on our webpage through the West ISD website
Track & Golf Needs: Coach Woodard asked for track shoes for the high school boys and girls teams and also for 15 golf bags; Golf is now a school sponsored sport; Sheree made the motion and Ronnie seconded the motion to purchase the needed items, all were in favor; The estimated cost for all equipment is $3960
Hall of Fame: Kim Woodard updated us on the re-creation of the West Trojan Hall of Fame; There will be lettering painted on the wall; Kim stated we will need to purchase new picture frames, she will look into the cost and get back with us when she is ready to order them
