Welcome to all the new families and individuals living in Providence Village!

Living in a condominium association offers many benefits. Your dues go toward the maintenance and upkeep of the community. Just some of the services included are 2 weekly trash pickups, snow and leaf removal. Roof s, siding, trim and chimneys are maintained. Pavement is swept, patched, repaired and replaced. Trees are pruned, shrubs are trimmed, grass is mowed, and mulch is replaced each year. Sidewalks are swept; retaining walls are maintained and replaced when needed. The playgrounds are maintained. Property lighting is provided. Pet stations are provided and cleaned twice a week and many other services are provided.

Each homeowner is part-owner of the Association. By working together to ensure a clean, safe, well-maintained community, we all benefit and property values maintained!

News

The roofs will be replaced this coming spring/summer. Every effort will be used to make this process as painless as possible for residents, your cooperation and understanding will be appreciated.

Owners should make certain nothing is currently mounted on their roof, as everything will be removed and nothing will be remounted or attached to the roofs. Attaching and/or mounting anything to the roof is strictly prohibited.

Homes with cables running across the roof will have those cables removed and they will not be allowed to be put back.

Maintenance and Upkeep

Heat Pumps:

Heat pump maintenance is the responsibility of each owner. Check your system for leaks and/or clogged drainage pipes regularly. Deep snow should be swept away from the fan unit. Lack of air flow can cause your unit to stop working.

Front, Back and Shed Doors

Only the following Duron Weathershieldcolors are approved for use on front doors:

  • Forest Green
  • Farmhouse Red
  • Loyal Blue

All front doors must be painted one these colors. No other color is acceptable or permitted for front doors, including primer white. Any paint store can provide you the correct color if you provide them the specific color name and brand as listed above. Additionally, the Duron paint store in Herndon has the ProvidenceVillage paint colors on file.

Shed and back doors must be painted white only. No other colors are permitted. Back doors which don’t require painting are fine as long as they are white.

Fall/Winter Home Maintenance:

If your house has a chimney, ensure it is cleaned and inspected. Turn off the water supply to outside faucets to prevent freezing.

Privacy Fences:

To match the new trim installed with the new siding, the fence color for privacy fences has been changed to “Duron Weathershield Semi-Gloss One-Coat White”. Many fences are in need of a fresh coat of paint. If your privacy fence is in need of repainting, please do so.

Notices have been sent out and many owners have not addressed this issue. Owners who do not paint and/or repair their fences will be assessed the cost of the Association having it done for them.

Resident Reminders

Pets:

We have recently received complaints of pet-owners allowing their pets to relieve themselves in the playground areas. Animal waste can lead to meningitis which can lead to death in children and adults. It is very important to clean up after your pet and it’s the law.

LoudounCounty law states that all dogs must be on a leash. Any dogs roaming free should be reported to Animal Control at 703-777-0406.

Association regulations limit the number of pets in each unit to no more than two.

Overcrowding:

Loudoun County has laws that restrict how many people can live in a house. If you suspect that a neighbor may not be following these guidelines, contact Loudoun County Zoning at 703-737-8190 or visit .

This is something that has to be done by neighbors and not management.

Trash Removal

Items that are not collected by regular trash pick up are your responsibility. Special pickups for large and unusual trash can be arranged directly through American Disposal Services at 703-368-0500. This service is often provided for free.

DO NOT leave trash cans out past trash day! The trash and recycling rules are enclosed.

Holiday Schedule for Trash Pickup:

Labor Day...... Yes

Thanksgiving Day...... No

Christmas Day...... No

New Years...... No

Memorial Day...... Yes

July 4th...... Yes

All exterior alterations must be approved by the Board of Directors prior to work commencing. Incorrect selection or installation of windows, doors, fences, etc. will not be permitted to remain and the cost of removing and replacing unapproved items is the home owner’s responsibility. To obtain approval, the home owner (not a tenant) must send a written request to:
